trin and tanwa were supposed to be the main leads but the second couple really shined through (no pun intended).…
idk if you finish the whole series yet, but SPOILERS:
Same thoughts with you as well. Ever since the beginning of the series I just felt like they both ( Tanwa and Trin) had strong fwb relationship vibes, it doesn't feel like it was genuine or solid enough. A Lot of fans at the time kept on saying it was "love at first sight" and "opposites attract", yes I do see that.
I keep on pushing that narrative to convince myself even....And in no way I'm saying Tanwa's character isn't necessary, it's just...their relationship just didn't make sense to me. Opposites attracts BUT there needs to be similarities for them to bind, it can not be everything complete polar-opposites. They disagree..and cry...argue..then...leave..cry again...and than he punch him in the face...and than..got back together again. I feel exhausted watching that...
But the series as a whole is amazing, I'm so glad boc took it to the next level. I watch bl not for the intention of watching anything deep or political ( I actually thought it was a romcom, and Shine was introduced as a romcom). But it was a lovely surprise and it was a good series.
You legit said “everything about him is super superficial imo” and yes I'm also talking about the character.
My point was Mile did technically have control over the script and his character, because in the interview he admitted he rejected the ideas that were proposed to him by the team.
“ everything about him is superficial” The character is superficial, that's what Mile intended the character to be. If you go watch the character story of Tanwa Mile explained it
When Mile was asked what did he do in preparation for the Tanwa’s character. He legit just talked about outer appearance of what a hippie should look like and the music. The team proposed an idea to him that hippies should be, and Mile rejected it saying hippies should be chubby/ normal bod and did his own thing.he felt a lot of connections with Tanwa since they are both singers. So he did what he thinks was the “right” hippie looks like; and that they are hedonists( basically he didn't intended to let Tanwa to have a lot of political views or stance ) that was his intention. Go watch the video and come back:
The way the fire kept getting worse why was Ning saying Trin was in love with Victor?😭
Was there a video where Ning said Victor and Trin were in love? Did she say that? Because I never saw it. I saw this post, thx for the link, but I think Apo was addressing it to certain shipper fans. ( addressing to certain Victor Trin shippers)
Ok fair point but let’s say even if Victor’s role was given to Mile. No one would like to the ending either because his role was meant to be “sacrificed” for the plot. Also his character has to be mixed to address lost self identity etc. And if you watched the character story on Tanwa, Mile really had a lot of control over his role. He had his own vision of what Tanwa should be like.
Now I know everyone has their own opinion but I think Tanwa’s very charismatic on his own and his character brings a different outlook to the story.
um but you do know the whole point of victor's character is to "die" right? like his death is served as a turning point for the two main characters to face their self and activate growth so that both main Character Trin and Tanwa to end up together.
The way the fire kept getting worse why was Ning saying Trin was in love with Victor?😭
she and Victor addressed it prior in the academic seminar in the morning of 9/25, Victor specifically said it was a "one sided love" when he was describing on why his character fell for Trin. Since some of the words that day it wasn't translated correctly in time, some people took it way out of context so Pond and Apo had to come out and address it later that day.
after watching the academic webinar for Shine, makes me appreciate the series even more, unfortunately there were alot of fans on X brutally criticizing the screenwriters and directors because their cp didn't get to shine enough.
so you are ok with Kinn graped Porsche while he was under a date grape drug in KP? how did Dhevi grape Lert, did…
oh thought you were one of those mileapo fans. Nvm than, my bad. But I think Dhevi probably had Veera's child, that's my speculation, I don't think she graped Lert.
I know many of y'all dgaf about gls but I'm gonna say it anyway:If shine was a GL and dao as well as dhevi were…
so you are ok with Kinn graped Porsche while he was under a date grape drug in KP? how did Dhevi grape Lert, did you see it happen? she could have birth the child with another man, the father might not be Lert, you never know. it's all speculations.
So you are ok with Trin punching Tanwa in the face, but Dhevi slapping the man who cheated on her ( dont give me the due to circumstances of Naran, he was NOT married to Dao ,so yes he could choose to leave the relationship) I think her slapping him with a shoe, leaving, didn't cause any drama or difficulty for Naran (unlike dhevi) is already decent. So why the hate on Dao?
Its crazy how I saw many people excusing even cheering on Dhevi’s behavior with all the “girlboss” shouts💀…
I saw the age demographic in MDL on viewers for Shine series, part of them are between the age of 13-17. I bet you are in that age range, because you can't think statistically for women in that era. And any female character in a BL series has a bit of complexity it burnt your brain out. No one said this woman is "good", she's very bad but in a way it's realistic to the story.
Stick with gmmtv because these are the only ones you could stomach clearly.
if u look up perfection in the dictionary it'll be this.. although we didn't get a happy ending for krailert and…
Finally, someone likes Dao. They make her looking like a bad person, but she knew her worth and struts away and don't even cause any drama after for Naran.

Ohmnanon’s chemistry is out of the world, no nc scenes needed.

This is the link to watch, but it's not eng sub though sorry.
It's still a great series imo.

But that cigar smoke before he was taken away, ICONIC. His back straightened, like he couldn’t give two f*cks.
