An actress is an actress is an actress… and if she's a truly good actress, she should be given the chance to prove her talent. Internationally, her "scandal" is long forgotten, so Netflix or Viki have no reason not to hire her. Thousands of fans are waiting...
I can't complain about Su Zus acting here. Yes, most of the time her face is very emotionless, but I think it fits her character. Since a lot of people are bashing her acting, I was observing her very critical, but I must say, I find her acting unique and different, but not bad...
Why do I think Hong Su Zu acting here is better than before... I'm not sure if her character is supposed to be…

What's it about? Doesn't look like it has any romance and probably one of the reasons why some of the MDL community…
First of all this drama hasn't got a single "good" upright person in it. Literally everybody is greedy and selfish and unscrupulous. There is a little bit romance, but not the way k-drama viewers are familiar with. It takes place in the seventies when South Korea wasn't the fancy, shiny place it is nowadays. The plot and the actions of the people make you gasp and shake your head in disbelief almost all the time and you are not sure if you should laugh or cry... Therefore I think it is an absolut outstanding (good) drama.
Am I the only one who thinks that this should have a second season? I think that the chaos of the beginning war would make the paths of siyul and eun cross again... and then we would get the romance that this season lacked imho... and of course action, war atrocities, the mapo gang, the secret masterminds and their true agenda unfold etc. Now that I think about it, the second season might even be better than this first season...
To me this drama is phenomenal so far. The whole story is so Charles Dickens style. The character of Mu Deok is an epic, multi dimensional masterpiece....
It's way to easy in Korea to throw some dirt at a public figure. And the media is drawn to it like flys to a pile of shit. Convenient headlines, good to sell to a bloodthirsty audience.

I wish she would get way more opportunities to show her acting skills.
I love this show, it's sooo funny. The rating here is a joke...
