About me
Like many, I stumbled into the world of Asian dramas during the pandemic — just a bit of curiosity at first. But five years later, I’ve watched hundreds of series, especially from Thailand, South Korea, and Japan. What truly hooked me was the diversity of LGBTQ+ stories across genres — a breath of fresh air compared to the heteronormative and often conservative shows and films from the United States that still dominate the market in my home country in Northern Europe.
I wouldn’t call it an obsession, but watching these series has definitely opened my eyes to Asian popular culture in a broader sense — music, storytelling, and even language. I've even started feeling tempted to learn more languages just to be able to enjoy the shows without subtitles. Finding platforms like kisskh and social media communities filled with others who share this passion has been a real joy — it’s nice to know I’m not the only one who’s fallen down the rabbit hole.
