I wasn’t watching Cdramas but I cracked for Speed and love, and it was totally worth it. One of the best this year! I rarely have fallen for ML in the past years but it was hard not to fall for Jin Zhao.
It was the small details but great gestures, everytime they were in a car he open her door, the way he fix her out of place hair. The way he peel the shrimp for her and cracked and peel the crab (my hubs use to do these things). I like that she wasn’t shy to start things, like kisses or more. I rarely watch Esther dramas but this plot was interesting and promising since the start. I like she was shy and cutesy but not her usual over the top childlike acting.
Overall recommendable!

I don’t know if you notice but in most dramas specially Asian, most ML’s first feelings for the female leads are feeling sorry for them, the male protectiveness kicks in and they feel the need to protect them not because of love at first sight (rarely that happens)but because they feel bad/sorry/pitiful for them.

In AADSIG I ship her with someone and come here to watch them and here I ship her with someone else hahahaha

Yet he didn’t say yes to EB and later the writer gave her a possible romance story like with the FL best friend. I found that love triangle so unnecessary and time wasting.

The thing for me is the way when she said I give up, the way he sighted and it didn’t look like a relived sight, when she left he looked up and swallowed hard and kept looking at her. The writer didn’t give us I don’t care at all. For how short and how annoyed he looked when he saw her at times, the writer didn’t conduct that scene correctly. He should have been jumping of joy hahaha again he didn’t even know her that way to look like it hurted she said she will give up. Or look hurted for a goodbye.

He never likes the FL and there’s two girls that like him but even tho there’s hints he likes his friend the tough black hair girl, he stays with no one:

If such pattern was fool proof I would have known but some don't work like that specially in multi couples, some are main leads and aren't even couples, some are main and their partner is not even a main lead. Also I think People can be nice and if they don't like my question or find it dumb they can skip it. Some people need to leave their personal problems outside MDL and stop taking their anger on people who haven't done nothing to them.

Well like I said in my paragraphs, well rant. He has a mouth and can tell her to stop. He knows how she is and still he doesn’t say she makes him uncomfortable.
So if your mom obligates to hug an uncle that gives you the creeps and you don’t tell her you don’t like it, how the fuck she will know. If you auntie pinches you your cheeks and it hurt you and bother you, how will she know if you don’t use your mouth for the purpose it was made for. God gave us a mouth for a reason .

But Is more mean dragging her along because for example when she put his arm around her in the bench and kept it there is a tiny hope he gives her, when she kiss him wh not slowly push her back and say NO. When she kept flirting he can tell her she makes him feel uncomfortable, when she kept putting his head on her shoulder and he kept it there instead of standing up, when she kept saying I’m waiting for you to see I’m waiting for you or come to me, he can say sorry even if the FL doesn’t like me back but I will never like you like a woman or run towards you. Why is HE picking her up when she got drunk when she has drivers, the writers making him save HER from the fire, Is like he likes her to be his puppy following him around.

But by this point and him rejecting her on 12, is better off if she travels to forget him than a rush I liked you that will feel rushed and fake. There’s no point because her family will not welcome a widow single father with open arms and to develop that plot in two episodes? NAH.

The worst is that until episode 12 he will still reject HY. As seen in the preview, he said “I don’t see you as a woman.”
HY may have no dignity still begging for his love but she has been nothing but nice. And yes, just because she is nice doesn’t mean he has to like Her Back but be could be nice and reject Her to the point she understand NO IS A NO! But he keeps her around, following him as a lost puppy love in need of love.

So what’s Seon U excuse for not freaking pushing Ha Yeong away now? He finally confesses to the FL, ML knows FL is not married and he knows that.
I love the one side love trope and exactly like this but usually is the guy literally saying dude I won’t love you, like go away. But SU is so weird is like he loves having her as his puppy. She gives him flowers he accepts them. She goes into his study like she owns the places and he is like in another world. Just step on those delusional dreams of hers. She deserves someone better to be someone’s first choice even tho she has no chill hahaha
