After watching the ending I don't think that it's that bad. It was better than the ending of WDBTD . So both of them were from the future but LY didn't remember that and also lived after her leaving and came back after his death in history. He identified her without seeing the portrait and she remembers his too. Both of their dreams are same and they smile through their tears. It looks like an open ending but as it is a time travel drama this is a really happy ending. We just need to continue imagining their story together in the modern world. They were meant to be together in the future from ep 1 as there was future self of them.

He is kinda obsessed with her and soon will turn toxic. He was so innocent before, this was not a charector development I expected 😭. He is too cute to be the villian
