I'm so excited; I really, really loved the first two episodes. The only thing is, and they're definitely not the first drama to do that, I really don't buy that she wouldn't recognize him. I mean it's not 30 years later, come on... It was confusing to watch since the actors really don't look much alike. It doesn't help that Lee Yoo Jin looks older than 17 and Hwang In Yeop looks much younger than 31... They could easily both be playing early 20s. Anyway, apart from that, the acting is top notch, I'm ridiculously stoked. Gong Chan is moving fast, too, so that's fun 😌
There are a few things that make it so that it's not as amazing as I'd hoped it would be but I'm still enjoying myself. Naoya keeps getting more and more adorable, I love him. The way he looks at Kota in the last two episodes is so cute. I really loved the flashback of their first meeting, they did the same thing in Why R U? where they reveal he's liked him since the very beginning and it was so cute here, too.
Yikes... I'd reasonably enjoyed it so far but they lost me on the wack ending. It's a shame, honestly, I liked the concept and the vibe but it didn't deliver.
Ooh I forgot this has 12 episodes, nice. I love the tension between them now that everything's out in the open. I'm kind of over the second couple, though. I love a good opposites attract dynamic but the fact that one is already seeing himself as a step-father when the other one isn't even ready to call him his boyfriend is getting increasingly uncomfortable.
I was also a bit pissed that they brushed over the fact that she survives the poison -- my best guess was that…
I guess that's what we're supposed to figure out on our own but a little confirmation would have been welcome, or at least for the people around her to be a bit more shocked that she did survive 😅
I think this was too convoluted for me. I somehow found it at the same time convoluted and predictable. I was very invested in the beginning and the twists were great but after the first half it's nowhere near as intriguing or exciting. That being said, I absolutely love Kang Ha Neul. I saw him in When The Camellia Blooms as well as In Midnight Runners and I've loved him in everything.
I have to agree with the general opinion that it drags on for too long. I struggled to finish it but thankfully it picks up for the last two episodes. Overall I did like it, it was sweet. I really loved the beginning in particular, the kids were adorable. It was my first time watching Rowoon and I thought he was great. I kept wishing for them to have their happy ending on the beach like in The Tale of Nokdu which is one of my favorites and they actually did! I'm a bit pissed they brushed over the fact that she somehow manages to survive the poison? Did I miss something? How did that happen? Anyway, I'm conflicted giving it an 7.5 but to be honest a lot of it has already left my mind so anything higher than that would purely be because Rowoon's so cute...
