I totally get now why Jimmy and Sea seemed particularly excited for this series during the fanmeetings. I caught up on the first 2 episodes and I'm absolutely loving it. It's JimmySea anyway, I trust them fully. I can't help but wonder if we're about to see First in a villain role, though, it looks like we should be a bit wary of him š
My dumb ass just realized that the Michael whose acting I praised in this awful series back in 2021 is the same Michael in Pit Babe... See now I'm even more upset he doesn't get more screen time in Pit Babe !

I mean, me too, for sure. They put up a giant picture of them in their home, it's so cute š„ŗ But Alan's gonna look like a hypocrite after how mad he was at Jeff. They've made it worse by having Jeff bring up multiple times how they're not supposed to keep secrets from each other anymore... I could see you being right about Dean, especially with how much he owes Alan for getting the team to give him a second chance.
I've been mostly enjoying season 2. I haven't been keeping up with any of the comments this season but reading them now I understand why they seem to be negative. The writing is hit and miss. I've been pretty frustrated by the amount of screen time that Pete and Chris have been getting, but I can't say that I ever know what's about to happen, which is cool. I mean I definitely never would have bet on the crap Alan just pulled. I don't see a plausible redemption story like Dean had for him, I'm really sad about that. I wish some of Pete and Chris' screen time had gone to Kim and Kenta and also some to North and Sonic. I haven't watched a slow burn in a long time, I think that's why North and Sonic finally getting together made me cry, it was really sweet. Speaking of the bad writing, though, I can't believe we're gonna skip past Dean getting horribly injured and Winner being totally fine after they were both part of the same crash... And oh my god why does no one care about Kenta?!

I've missed GreatInn so much, I'm so excited š We're clearly not going for subtlety but that's okay. I'm locked in and ready to get hurt š„² I'll allow myself to speak up on the French since I'm French and honestly, compared to other times I've heard French in Thai or Korean dramas, I can at least understand him 80 % of the time, but it does take me out of the story a bit when they keep reminding that he's meant to be seen as a "Frenchman" when he doesn't sound like someone who's lived in France for a long period of time. Regardless, I commend Inn for making a solid effort.
I loved it so much. Sure, on paper, it's nothing we haven't seen before and yet I wasn't bored once. The found family trope is executed really well. I was dying to see JuniorMark and I absolutely loved their arc. When Santa and Perth were announced, I was sceptical. I adore Santa but I couldn't see the pairing work and it did. I will say Yotha and Gun have the less subtle and more cringy dialogue of all the couples but they were still very cute. I think this was my favorite character that Book has done, and while I still don't think that Fourth can act, they were cute too. Marc can't act either but it's much worse than Fourth... Faifa and Wine are really the highlight of this series for me. I'm going to miss them so much. And AouBoom too! I didn't expect we'd get so much of them but I'm so happy we did, they were wonderful. I wish it had been just a teensy bit less cringy overall but hey it was super cute and I laughed so much.
It's not his even acting necessarily but the type of roles he gets. I always see him playing idiots with over the top comedy, it's not my thing. I'm still not over his character in Strong Woman Do Bong Soon, that was crazy š
I'm so sad episode 10 didn't air. I was so looking forward to the scene from the preview but of course it was at the very end of the episode and now we have to wait another week š
Oh boy, itās gonna be a no from me. Genuinely, if they didnāt end up together in the end, I would have said this is a very cool series but I felt insane watching that ending. Sitting through those last two episodes was horrendous. I was actively hoping Tew and Kan wouldnāt get togetherā¦ Hereās my main problem : Kan abiding by the ārulesā of euthanasia was the only thing setting him apart from Boss. He even says it himself, Bossā condition doesnāt warrant his death by euthanasia. Yet he still goes ahead and kills him. In my eyes, in that moment, he stopped being a morally grey character, the unlawful doctor with empathy for his dying patients. In that moment, he became the villain. Besides, he made it abundantly clear that he was doing it not just because Boss asked but because he didnāt want Tew to know the truth. And does Tew ever find out? Does Kanās confession include Bossā death? Well, we don't know and I'm not exactly inclined to believe he would.
Okayā¦ Putting that aside, it is cool. I loved Tew moving in and Kan saying he knows Tew has a hidden agenda but he doesnāt care, heās just glad Tew is there. That was nice. However, I really wouldnāt recommend it as a BL. I do think they had chemistry and everyoneās acting was great, thatās not an issue. It reminded me a lot of Manner of Death, of course, which I adore, coming home to the little town, the doctor, the mystery, the ML acting suspicious, except this ML is actually guilty. I genuinely had no idea what the hell was going on, it had so many twists. I also think itās great theyāre talking about euthanasia, clearly it opens up a dialogue. In that regard, I do think it was great.
That being said, Iām sat if JJ and Tor get paired again!
It's pretty crazy how engrossed I was in this, it's genuinely the easiest show to binge watch. It's very, very good, with the perfect amount of action and humour. Some parts toward the end are a bit cringe, for lack of a better term, I don't know why anglophone speakers are always so hard to watch in kdramas... I also need to ask, journalists are so often shown behaving like vultures in kdramas, I never really looked into how realistic that was, but them swarming the soldier descending the plane as he arrives in Korea and then again at the hospital?? That's pure insanity, that can't really be how they act in real life, right?... And as for the whole part overseas, yeah, none of it is realistic but very fun nonetheless! The way Han Yu Rim acted when his daughter needed help was insane, I was so ready to hate him, but he has such a good redemption story. "If you shut up, you live. If you don't, you die." Love the man.

I found myself rewatching some scenes and honestly... Why do I do this to myself? Did I not suffer enough the first time? I watched it 9 months ago but my heart will truly never recover.
Honestlyā¦ wow. I havenāt watched many c-dramas, and even less of this genre but I adored this. I think this was my first Xianxia and now Iām hoping I havenāt started with the best one. I was worried about the female lead in the beginning but she grew on me eventually. Sheās not the best (nor the worst) but she didn't ruined my enjoyment in the slightest. Itās a little slow in between really intense peaks in the story that literally had me on the edge of my seat, I found the mortal arc particularly slow, but overall it was incredible.
