I’m 11 episodes through and I’m debating if I should drop it because I can’t stand the FML. Should I drop…
I didn't love her in the beginning either but I pushed through because I loved everything else and she did grow on me. I do think she gets a little less "cute" and annoying as the story progresses. I'm not gonna remember her as one of my favorite FML, sure, but for what it's worth I ended up liking her and loving them!
I almost skipped it! I saw mixed reviews and waited all this time before making up my mind! Now I'm annoyed cause it's so good! It ticks so many of my boxes, When Ryo realizes that Haruto might have orchestrated their meeting but he decides to give in and love him regardless, oh my god, that's the romance I've been missing out on! I mean, honestly, I am swayed by the amount of love confessions we got, how Ryo never misses an opportunity to defend Haruto, how he's ready to derail his whole life for him, I'm a sucker for this I can't lie. Also, Hyodo Katsumi is ridiculously handsome. But that's not all, though. I disagree that the second part isn't as strong as the first part, I love when there's equal amounts of plot and romance and I feel like that's what I got here.
Oh, only 8 episodes after all... I liked the second part a lot more than the first for the same reason that I liked the first part of the original better : the acting. I love Rain and Payu but Rei's pretty insufferable in this adaptation. However, I actually really enjoyed watching Fuma and Kai. I also like that Fuma is much more believable behind a desk in a suit and tie than Pai is. Overall, it's pretty weak but it's so short I wouldn't deter anyone from watching it, it's cute.
This was so cute. Nan Xi is the most adorable ML. Xia Rui is amazing, too. Often with extroverted FL, I find them to be a lot to take in, but she was the perfect mix of extroverted, smart, hardworking, and flawed. I loved them. The scene where Nan Xi tells her about being her childhood best friend was so sweet 🥹 One thing I'll say, though, kiss or don't, I don't mind, but the in between is killing me. Even Liu Bin didn't escape the curse...
I thought I had 6 episodes left, I kinda ruined the ending for myself there... It was cute, funny, very well paced, and I like how all of the different conflicts were resolved, even if I kinda wish Mingyue had told her mom to get lost at least once... While some of the situations, mainly Ziqiu wanting to get with Jianjian made me uncomfortable, the writing was very smart. However, the romance really didn't do much for me. It has to be said that Song Wei Long is exceptionally handsome, though. The way they got together was so underwhelming and everything after was nothing special. The only thing that made me believe Jianjian genuinely liked him romantically was her behaviour towards him in the very beginning when they were little, nothing in the present time was very convincing... Did I miss something or was one of their last scenes just the two of them together not Ling Xiao telling Jianjian he wants to marry her and Jianjian ignoring him? They also had me convinced Mingyue and Ziqiu would be a thing, I'm pretty disappointed here, too. And we didn't get a resolution with Tang Can and Zhuang Bei, or was her saying she was now only seeing him as a friend the end, then? I guess so... That being said, this series does have one thing and that's Haichao. I agree that you won't find a better dad than him, I really did love him the most.
It was really lovely! The story, the acting, and the chemistry were all great. It wasn't perfect but I really enjoyed it. I would disagree that we don't see them getting closer romantically at all, but the ending was underwhelming and it is true that we don't have the time to enjoy seeing them finally be together. It's too bad to end on a disappointing note for such a great series. I'm also confused why we followed Taichi being so worried about telling Kouhei why he dropped out and where he's decided to work only for them not to show us that conversation and Kouhei's reaction...
It's weird, I remember everyone coming for Dunk's acting in Star and Mind and I was like I don't know what you mean he's great, and maybe the role was better for him then, I don't know, but those comments were right, he's not good... I think it's all the more disappointing because Joong is seriously killing it. Regardless, I laughed so much in this episode, I'm embracing the cringe and laughing along.
I'm pretty devastated that it's over, honestly... I loved every minute of it. Sure, it was a bit senseless at times, but overall it was well done and YinWar's chemistry remains unmatched. I'm gonna miss them so much 😩
I knew this was popular but I hadn't heard much about it and oh boy, I wasn't ready... I've barely recovered from Love in the Big City and now this, I'm so not okay 😭 I remember how hard waiting every week for a new episode of To My Star 2 was, the angst was too much, I have a feeling this must have felt very similar. For once I'm glad I waited, I simply could not have handled it. There was definitely similarities with To My Star 2 in the non-linear story telling, which personally I have no problems with. However, I do have a hard time with time skips, they're definitely not my favorite, and 12 years is such a long time, but I adored it so much I'm willing to get over it.
Oh boy, Rei's even more of a loser than Rain 😅 Regardless of what I thought of that first episode, it's fun to revisit Love in the Air. 10 episodes is going to go by so fast, though...
I like Charles and I like Michael but together their chemistry was a bit off, especially compared to their previous pairings which I both really enjoyed, I wasn’t feeling them together as much. I already didn’t really like Jame so Orca was a miss for me. I liked his song a lot, though, the soundtrack is really nice. I did find it hilarious that he has a broken English but they had someone sing in perfect English for his song. So yeah it’s cute but without great chemistry to make me want to continue watching, it felt very long. I really do like Michael, though, he's great. I'm annoyed that they never really explored his mom / his past more ? We got the tiniest glimpse that his childhood must have been somewhat rough but that's really it... Too bad.
See, I avoided the comments so I wouldn't get spoiled but if I had gone to the comments I would have known that it ends on somewhat of a cliffhanger. I mean, it was really, really good, there's absolutely no denying that but yeah... I'm not exactly leaving satisfied...
I'm in a major slump lately and I picked this very spontaneously without really having heard of it. I actually picked it because I read "superpowers", if I'd researched it more and saw it had to do with spirits I probably wouldn't have watched it, that's not really my thing, but this was really good! The acting was top notch. Tseng Jing Hua is really phenomenal. I was also so happy to see Fandy and then Nonkul showed up, both were such nice surprises. I was so glad to get some romance with Chu Ying since I do prefer shows with at least a bit of romance but uh... yeah... Whoops. The bromance is so good, ennemies to friends is good but the fact that they can't acknowledge how close they got, I don't know, it just really works for me.
Regardless, I can't WAIT for the release date.
