American series are illogical too. Like people not recognizing Clark Kent is Superman just because he has glasses on. Chinese dramas with the high wire flying around is not illogical? I find it funny when people complain about something being illogical in a costume drama when they've overlooked the one thing c-drama costume series are known for, the fake, highly choreographed high wire flying around. I overlook all of the little stuff and just enjoy it for what it is - rated the series a 10.

They are both great IMO. If you like romance to happen earlier on, then Destiny brings the hotter than hot by episode 13; however, the series doesn't move locations too much because they are in a narrow environment, where the ML has been stuck for many years. If you like flirting between the characters with romance expected to come later, as well as a Demon World and a normal world colliding at certain points with cases to solve than Moonlit is happening too. I love- and am watching- both.

A few people have mentioned about the jumping down the tall wall to save Wu Zhen and hurting his knees. It's obviously a plot point so that she could heal him. I think the writers churn these series out fast and furious so not everything is perfect; however, you're right, overall, it's very enjoyable.

Thanks for the info. I hope he can chart his own course as well. I usually only watch costume, supernatural (like this one), Republican era but I'm glad he's spreading his wings to do other things that please him.

I've liked all of Xu Kai's dramas. The only one where I loved his effort and acting but couldn't get into the script was Snow Eagle Lord because the demons were always winning. However, someone told me in that comment section that he doesn't get offered the same quality of scripts as others and has to put up with a lot from his agency. I don't know what's true or not but he always tries hard and has a great connection with all of his leading ladies. I do understand the comments by people who liked him in Arsenal Military Academy and want him to do lighter, more playful characters rather than the serious characters of late. He was great in that cdrama, but again, I think he has to go where his agency wants him to go.
