Great points. Plus, it would be a pretty boring series if the ML didn't go through a growth cycle but rather was super strong to begin with, outsmarted everyone right away and the series ended after 5 episodes, everything already accomplished.

They're not exploring yet; however, the back stories are interesting so it's worth the wait.

Wow, this cast! Neo, Bi Wen and Wang Ying (who I've never seen before but is knocking it out of the park.) With Wuxia and SciFi elements, this is different than the usual fare offered up. Wish there were more than 27 episodes. Hoping for a season 2.

Hopefully, this is more like Warm on a Cold Night and less like Ni Chang, which spent too much time on the clothing industry to the detriment of the plot.

Not as good as previous movies / series in this genre but a fully watchable tomb raiding movie while waiting for new T/R, Wuxia, Xianxia to come out.

This series doesn't appear to have all of the beautiful filters that his previous series had that soften, slim, refine images. A good example of this is how Xu Kai Cheng looked in the series, Dance of the Phoenix and then how he looked a year later in A Female Student Arrives at the Imperial College.

I'd rather have that then when I signed up to WeTV in September 2022 and they had no Wuxia/Xianxia/Historical series of note between then and summer 2023. I cancelled my subscription for the upcoming year. It's interesting that this came out before Kunning Palace.

I mostly watch costume dramas and a few republican era series. ZZH's series have always been my favorites and I re-watch them from time to time. All of us fans are dreaming along with you that he will be cast in upcoming dramas in the near future.

I do as well and hope for the day that things change where he can continue to make the series for which his fans are waiting.
