I don’t quite understand how the fl was considering marrying Ye feng when she clearly didn’t love him, but now that she is properly married with a marriage certificate to show for it, instead she drafts up a contract and sets up boundaries, avoiding all intimacy. My question is, was she not going to engage in physical intimacy if she had married Ye Feng and lived under his mother’s roof? Does she need to put up such high walls and avoid the ml when he is so caring and understanding and clearly likes her. I know drama’s and slow burn development and all that, but at times its not logical
Started this because I am a fan of ML. Forced myself till episode 10 or so. But I fell asleep so many times. I…
I mentioned this whole pinning and staring for a while thing, but so many people said it was her being uncomfortable and unhappy when she sees the sml, but clearly it’s not that. She is clearly affected by his whole presence, those eyes were clearly eyes of affection, even until the wedding scene she still had so much affection for the sml, even at the scene where his jacket almost touched her, which was annoying. I don’t know if it’s the actress’s style or her eyes but she had the same look for the sml in princess royal which annoyed the shit out of me. Shine on me is a good drama but I couldn’t help but get annoyed by the fl a couple of times, ml was almost perfect except when he misunderstood the fl a little.
I feel like we're watching a different drama lmaoIt's normal to feel like people who are dating look like really…
I get your point completely now. Everyone will have a different perspective and interpretation while watching the same thing. Just finished ep 28 and they are really coming around with the chemistry which I can’t wait to see. From the previews i can’t wait to be done with the drama from the ml uncle and cousin and her stupid dad.
I feel like we're watching a different drama lmaoIt's normal to feel like people who are dating look like really…
I don’t think my perspective is unusual, just completely different from what you see. You may see eyes of doom and gloom but i see her eyes so fixated on the sml that sometimes its annoying, even his voice startles her and its not the first time i am seeing this look from her, she had the same look in Princess Royal for the sml and she almost never moved on there and i was kinda disappointed in the end(probably the script and direction). I am in no way saying she is a bad actress, just different script and direction. You might see chemistry but they’re more like besties than lovers to me. I am eagerly waiting for more development since their dating era just started, hope it improves. The script so far is really interesting.
Watching ep 27 now and it baffles me that she is supposed to be a college graduate but still acts like a child and whatsup with the curfew from her mom and aunt when she basically lives alone most of the time. I love the series but I can’t feel any chemistry between them yet, in Admist a snowtorm of love, I could feel the chemistry between the fl and ml immediately but in this they feel like really good friends and their conversations seem like people who understand each other which is nice and her passionate pursuit of the Sml doesn’t help either cause she will still be stunned anytime she sees him and have this puppy eyes of longing, I noticed the same look in princess royal and it defeats the purpose of someone who has apparently moved on. I don’t know if i am the only one who has noticed this but my opinions doesn’t change the fact that shine on me is a great series that i am enjoying but in the chemistry part, its a 4 for now.
Watching this was so stressful for me, the only fun part was the second leads romance between the college students. The Ml was a simp and i do enjoy it when the guy goes all out for the girl but it was so frustrating. Read a couple of comments saying the girl has low self esteem, confidence and trauma from her family dynamics and all but does that excuse how mean, rude, and selfish she was? Let’s call a spade a spade, she was a horrible gf and she will never get over her low self esteem. She was pathetic and couldn’t stand seeing someone she claims to like shine. I think the moment at the group photoshoot was when i gave up on her character, and i really tried to understand her. The Ml was great but i got tired of him running after the fl lead every second, he needed to grow a backbone. This wasn’t exactly a great watch for me.
I don’t like period dramas because to me they’re all the same. There’s usually a king (or prince) court…
When its a woman being hit, it’s taken seriously and we don’t accept it as being funny. I don’t know but hitting ure spouse no matter what gender is wrong.
They really are normalising women hitting their husband wao
Thats what made me drop the drama, women hate when men beat their wives and we all bash the men and are against domestic violence but when it’s the woman doing the beating it becomes okay and funny? It was plain awful. The third lady was a plain narcissist, i dropped it halfway through and i may not have seen their redemption story but i couldn’t watch the way the ladies bullied their husbands. If the reverse was the case we would call the men bad. And it should be the same way, women can also be perpetrators of domestic violence and should not be condoned.
Me too. It was a great scene between two strangers yet felt so connected. I like the Tang Lian disciple boy. Young…
He won’t die cause he was in TBOY as Tang lian who was close to Xiao Se so if this is their origin story then he will likely not be killed off cause prince Lanya is still alive here and Tang Lian died in TBOY while protecting Xiao Se
This series is taking my whole heart, i mean i loved TBOY and now i am watching Blood River and am having so much fun seeing the characters in a different light here, i hated Su Muyu and Su Changhe in TBOY and i absolutely love them here, they seemed more rational and human now. And i loved seeing The Tang guy in the early episodes i hope they show us more of his love story arc with the blood river girl(can’t remember her name) anyway this series hope its doing well in China cause its so good and Gong Yu deserves a win on this one 👍
FL's brother is a lost cause. His sister is missing in the woods, he finds out his crush knew and kept quiet,…
I thought the same too, he wasn’t even angry at his crush for being such a bad person, instead he was trying to pacify her and try to understand her. I mean his sisters life was in danger even if she is rescued, he should be worried about her getting sick rather than be all over the wicked friend. They acted that part terribly
For me it was ok-ok. For me all the female leads in the name of women empowerment they doesn't care about all…
I didn’t understand how they made it okay that the female leads were so Mean to the Ml, especially the Fl lead and wang xinyue, am on episode 5 now and seriously she is the worst, she has accused him of so many things, slapped hit him, misunderstood him, bullied him and somehow he falls in love with her? The whole Female empowerment trope is just them being mean and bullies. The worst part is I didn’t get the FL sincere apology for the slap and the humiliation she caused the ML at the beginning. As a female i think if this was reversed and the ml slapped the fl and threw water on her, No one would ever support the ml again or even give him a second chance but somehow its okay if the female lead does it.
Does this chae know this king will kill the princess?
Exactly the same thought i had in mind, and next episode shows she might be a concubine and from the looks of it, she’s quite smart, having been around the queen since young she must’ve picked up some strategy skills.
Seriously I hate The idea of ml getting rejected by the FL multiple times while he gradually becoming love simp…
I support u on them having love equality, i don’t like dramas where one side keeps giving and chasing while the other just keeps receiving. I don’t completely support the Ml lying to her about being her husband but what did she want him to do, he saved her life and she was the one who called him HONEY first and he went along with it. Besides if the roles were reversed and the Ml was in her position would she have saved him? Would she not have kept him by her side if she knows he will lead her to her archenemy? Besides when she got her memories back and he wanted to confess she asked him not to. She also kept using him as cover, and strung him along in her own plans. She used him just as well. If she was found by someone else, whats the guarantee that she would have survived her injuries without the best treatment he provided? Besides without her memories she would have been lost in the world anyway, better to have had a home and a safe place.
Loved the drama but somehow Jang Su Jin’s secretary was the end of her, like he really is so dumb that every time his ex always plants something on him and he never learns, like the plot is so dumb, who allows the enemy put flowers in the boss’s office. She had planted a recorder on the ring before, locked u up in a warehouse and somehow u allow her arrange flowers in a vase in ure boss’s office? I mean thats super stupid and how could he not see that coming. But anyway i dont know if its my love for the female leads acting but i really did root for her, cause i looked beyond everything she did later and somehow i realized that, park dongho made her worse than she already was. Her first crime was loyalty to the president and turning a blind eye to his sun receiving money from Daejin group and also her husband’s stupidity also. Except am missing something here she never really did anything horrible until park dongho poisoned the president and tried to get rid of her and Daejin group. So somehow Park Dongho made the country bleed just to send away daejin group and end corruption. If i must say Park Dongho deserved his ending just as much as Sujin did.
Chinese dramas take things out of context a lot, in SOKP with zhang linghe, Bailu was very angry and scared of him when she time traveled back to 18 years old cause she felt the ML killed her in the previous life when infact he only gave her a knife and she was the one who committed suicide, she was so scared of the MI that she even accused him of killing her and tried not to reciprocate his feelings. But in this Drama they completely ignored the fact that she actually sent people to kill him in the previous life while thinking he had her killed, she never fully apologized and he wasn't even angry about it and they just treated it like it wasn't important. To me it is, I can't believe or understand his feelings for her when she had him murdered in cold blood and the only thing she can fully accuse him of doing in the past is her so called accusations of him having feelings for her brothers concubine and fighting her politically but she did worse to him. She brought in a man to her home while being married and stayed with him for years and somehow she chooses to ignore her previous affair and killing him. I don't see remorse from her and i Sincerely feel the ml deserves better. The Fl is too fickle minded
If Mr Mountain God is really feeling vengeful, he should be going after the ones who started it. Should have used…
Exactly, like why’s no one talking about the fact that the Ml would have being killed in his past life because he tried to save the mountain Gods woman, he risked his life to help her escape death in the first place, without him the mountain God wouldn’t have even met her alive in the mountains, Ml owed her nothing, even if he did kill her like they thought he did it was part of his job. Not saying its okay to just kill her but why should he die in her place? The mountain God didn’t even care about the Ml when he was in jail or even try to save him, he was just okay with the fact that it wasn’t his woman being killed. The curse was so unnecessary, did he curse those soldiers who tried to kill her? Or punish them for eternity? Instead he cursed the only people who actually protected the woman he claimed to love. Mtcheew
