For Eagle Brothers is a weekend drama. Weekend drama are typically around 50 episodes and usually the overall genre is family and not makjang (with a few exceptions.) Daily dramas run 100+ episodes and while they can have mixed genres they are mostly known for their makjang (explained by Kkdramas excellent comment.)
So comparing these two dramas is like comparing apples and oranges. Not everyone likes both hahah

And for the 2 comments I did see complaining about not having 16 episodes due to tVN budget problems, thank global Netflix for that. Google “Netflix effect on kdrama production costs.” I’m just happy it got made.
