Changing his name and calling it fictional doesn’t change the fact this is based on a web novel using The 10th king of Joseon, the worst tyrant in Joseon’s history, as inspiration. I suppose he won’t have boils on his face in this version.

I agree! It’s like in the future let’s make a romantic comedy with Hitler(or Stalin, Pol Pot,Mao Zedong,Kim Il-Sung, Mussolini, Idi Amin, Pinochet) as the main character! But change his name so no one will know it’s really him!
They say the movie Treacherous is a very close depiction of how evil the 10th King of Joseon was and yet it was couldn’t show how bad he actually was.
This drama can’t deny its source material.

Character-wise I was surprised at the slap. Yes what she said as justification was true but it seems to me Seol Hui would’ve grabbed her in a hard hug instead.

The character of GS the writers have given us so far would never have called him any endearing name in his hotel in front of anyone else. I hate they wrote that scene. I hate the director filmed it. I hate the actors had to act it out. Didn’t anyone object?
