We haven’t gotten a real explanation yet. All we knew was her mother treated him like he was inferior.
He started cheating when he went to America. I assumed he met then was targeted and gaslighted by SeRi.
The real surprise was when he whispered in her ear that her first mistake was marrying him. So there is definitely more to the story which hopefully will be told sooner rather than later.

I haven’t seen the interview myself but read a couple of comments about the “warmth.” I for one don’t like spoilers and actually usually never try to speculate on outcomes unless the writers really shove clues in our face. I haven’t seen the webtoon or read remarks on its ending either. The thing I read on here dismays me, that this is a set up for a second season so we won’t get all what we want by the finale. But since there’s been nothing official about a second season that means if that is true we could be left hanging.
