Damn are you for real 😭 this is the best funny bl series I've watched.
"using sterotypical gay" is a wild statement for me cause, when have we ever seen a show where the main queer character was effeminate in a thai bl? Also, I do not think they are poking fun at all, and we can clearly see that in the first minutes of the show. We see a queer person navigating a modern time, where she still has haters calling her slurs (and you can tell that it affects her too). Again, this a comedy. If you prefer your historical dramas with less comedy, i'd say to watch "I feel you linger in the air" It has the same theme, but it is more serious!

They have a big problem with saying the word "gay" in this drama lol. First Gyeongu and now Rosa.
queerness, especially in those times, was always about subtext (living together, raising a kid together, living everything to the other after death, etc.), so it’s not surprising that it’s the same case in this show.

idk why, but I just don't understand how their story was seen as frienship, when the subtext clearly shows them as more

ikr, such a precious friendship that not everyone can have… maybe because they grew up in oprhanage that they…
it's not us tho, its implied that at least one of them (Sang Wol) is in love with the other. She doen't say it out loud, but you can tell that she loved her and not just as a friend, but also as a lover. Idk if you caught that, but when the man start living with them, Sang Wol says herself that their relationship looked really weird to other people. Also, when she has to explain to Ho-Su and Mi-Ji what Ro-Sa meant to her, you can tell that she was in love with her. Pretty sure, Ro-Sa kept writing those poems about her non-stop and that's why she was uncomfortable when she was surrounded by the man. I don't think what they had was a deep frienship, but something way more, borderline romantic for sure.

i wouldn't really call it a frienship, but i wouldn't call it a romantic relationship either tho, but i do believe that it was something too complex to describe

it's not a wig, it's his hair + some extensions
have you seen his social media or like videos of him in the past? He has had long hair before, and his hair rn is on the longer side. Sure, not this wavy or long, but those are def the extensions.

rather that than the entire plot honestly 💀
no, on the contrary. Thai trailers (usually bls) mostly show the entire plot, so it's nice tthat it's not the case with this one

This looks really good but I found the trailer a bit confusing to be honest.

i know that the mother of the girls probably went through a lot in her lifetime, but damn...she really sucks as a mum 😬. She can't tell her daughters apart, she can't feel a shift in their personalities, she doesn't know that both her daughters had issues of their own and she's just a shitty and lousy human being in general... She goes on saying very horrible things to everyone around her (especially her neighbour) and she just gets away with it.

To the people talking about the kiss scene: she literally surprised him with the kiss. He leaves his "penthouse"…
No frl 😭 let the man process the kiss first, then let's judge it

Title Love Sea
I think it's because for once it goes beyond just steamy scenes, like there's an actual plot with good understanding…
I legit heard people giving up on multiple shows on the first episodes cause they said that it was boring 💀. Like of course rn it feels slow because the show is trying to give you clues on why the characters will react a certain way in the future or to give you a painting of the plot as a whole. I blame Netflix and their 8 episodes format ngl

compared to A LOT of recent thai bls we've had, this one is like a major step up 😭
