What a pathetic hater you are. If it hadnβt been for Chu Zhao, Xu Jing Fu wouldnβt have been condemned.I havenβt…
Huh? π€£ Why are you attacking me for simply sharing some thoughts about the show and my feelings about some characters? It's totally fine to have a different opinion but how about we don't start taking it personal since these are fictional characters while we as the audience are not?
But since you brought it up: A good deed doesn't erase the bad things you do. And Chu chose wrong plenty of times until he even tried to force himself on the woman he claims to love while risking to take away her chosen path for herself. Regarding He Rufei: I was mostly talking about the last 2-3 episode in which He Rufei didn't play a big role anymore but yes, he was truly despicable. I don't think that is even worth discussing since I assume everyone is in agreement that he was a bad person. π
Overall, the drama was good and entertaining. I especially liked He Yanβs boldness and chemistry with Xia Jue…
I actually thought him turning like that in the end was quite fitting. He was never a good guy and was always torn as to which side to choose because of his ambition to prove himself. After a while he was simply trying to impress her and therefore started to make the right choices. But when he realised he couldn't have her romantically, he tried to force her, to possess her. And that's what made him not only lose his moral compass but also lead him to more power-hunger, ambition and even revenge. He's a classic example for man with a small....ego.
Some thoughts about the show and the last 2-3 episodes: (some spoilers ahead!! but since it's freshly ending, I thought it's alright to not hide the whole thing)
- Overall: I loved the femle empowerment in the show and that they didn't go for some of the classic conflict tropes or at least they didn't have the negative impact one would expect. I enjoyed that. - I almost died laughing because of the way Li Su threw TaoTao over that horse and the followong finger heart π - Most importantly: I loved how Chu didn't get a redemption arc and instead was treated as the little, pathetic manchild he is. β€οΈ The way this guy pissed me off is no joke. I even smiled when he lost his assistant because she was his loyal supporter until the end which he did not deserve. So, seeing him suffering was nice even though I felt bad for her...dying for a loser like that. - In the end I would have loved to see some more fighting or emotional scenes played out. I also wished for the romance or at least the interactions of the two leads to be more frequent. There were too many secondary couples and definitely too much screentime for Chu.
Agreed!! I noticed that people tend to like bl that has spicy things even the storyline are mediocre af. Which…
Yes, jbl are soooo good in my opinion but they rarely get the respect and appreciation they deserve ππ. Now that we have established some trust - do you have any recommendations for me? ππ₯²
Do you know any other shows like this? I loved this non-toxic couple so much. And I absolutely agree with you…
Yes, I watched it π€. That one was cute as well although it wasn't one of my favorites because they were gloomy so often, so that "feel-good" feeling didn't really stick with me. But I'm definitely looking forward to your list. π
7.9 rating?? I'm begging you? This should never fall under an 8. It's seriously pissing me off how every mediocre BL gets super high ratings because of some NC scenes but this masterpiece drops. I like some good kissing scenes too but come on? ππ

I've watched them all but "10 things..." already.π« But I love your recommendations!! I'm waiting for "10 things..." to finish airing since I loved Old Fashion Cupcake and I was waiting for an older couple romance. π€ Any more?ππ
Wow! I went into this with zero expectations but I loved every bit of it. Was the story/plot anything special? Not at all. It was even super simple. But this couple was soooo cute. Zero misunderstandings, 100% support. They were just wholesome. π So, if you need something sweet to heal your heart, this is the one. β€οΈ
Give it til 16-17th, when the register completely changes. Then decide, if you will :)
Alright - will do! Thanks for the additional motivation. I really hope I will like it. I love the fandom and their obsession with it because I'm like that with other stuff too, so I wanna support and feel it π.
I watched 9 episodes now and I'm not that into it to be honest. Is this just the beginning or am I supposed to be hooked already? I really want to like it but maybe it's just not for me? ππ
It was enjoyable up until episode 13 but other than that, I can't say the same for the rest of the episodes. The…
THIS! Thank you for this comment. All I see is praise which don't get me wrong: is not undeserved. But I agree with you after episode 13 it went downhill. And I'm so glad to see someone else mentioning the missing "big talk" after the misunderstandings. The first half was great but then the conflict resolutions weren't done properly which kinda ruined a lot of the show. The chemistry of the characters definitely saved the show.
I've been watching dramas for years now and still haven't seen The Untamed. Since I mostly enjoy romance shows I wonder if I will still like this considering it's a censored romance slash under the cover of bromance. I usually dislike stories without the romance as a main focus (I judge myself for it but that's how it is). Would I still enjoy The Untamed? π I'm counting on the fandom here. π«
I really wanted to love this since the chemistry between the leads was great. And I did. At least for the first half. But then it just didn't work for me anymore. The conflicts were weirdly executed and the way they "resolved" them were even weirder. So, I ended up disliking the second half and even gettig bored with it. I'm happy for everyone who enjoyed this but for me it sadly wasn't that great show I was hoping for.
Alright - you all got me. I was really fighting with myself because of my damn fear of snakes. The first episode made me scream and almost throw up but it gets better with each scene even though I really really don't feel well with the snakes appearing. But I'm now at episode 4 and oh my god the chemistry is chemistrying π€£. It IS indeed really good. Wow ππ₯²
