I think MDL follows the original release on the original network [Iqiyi] not on where most people watch it.

If I'm not mistaken, somebody has also asked about this right after Viu broadcast it.

Probably it would be changed once Iqiyi re-broadcast this series.

If I may say it, actually there are 2 opinions regarding this series :

1. Everything that happened was only Ling Jiushi's dream during his comatose state, that's why the ending is considered sad and devastating.

2. This is actually about paralel worlds [reality and game worlds], everything that happened is real, not Jiushi's comatose dreams. The ending is bittersweet but acceptable.
