oh also, there was this ring rlz gifted to ljs in the beginning eps. im not sure if i missed out on smth but does…
The ring was mentioned as a token of gratitude that was given to Ling Jiushi after saving Ruan Lanzhu.
LingΒ² then took it off when he said he didn't want to join Obsidian after leaving the first door.
Lingling thought, the ring was given as a gift for him to join Obsidian, that is why he didn't wear it again after rejecting Ruan Lanzhu.
As for Ruan Lanzhu, he gave the ring as a token of gratitude/affection.
After seeing how Ruan Lanzhu kept him safe and protected him all the time, he agreed to join Obsidian and wore the ring necklace back on before leaving the second door.
It is safe to say that Lingling kept wearing it on his neck and never took it off again.
can anyone explain the ending for me please? I miss them sm already
Their last conversation, on the stairs, at the last episode.
LJS : Long time no see RLZ : It's not long
50 years in the real world, if I'm not miscalculated is around 3-4 years in the game world.
That is why Ruan Lanzhu said that it was not long.
=================
When Ling Jiushi got back to the real world, he got to meet the other players but they didn't recognise him because they had lost their memories of their life in the game world.
Ruan Lanzhu obviously didn't exist in the real world. He was NPC that was created to purify the game, restore it back to the original version.
In the real world, Ling Jiushi didn't have friends. His parents left him behind, his friends mocked and bullied, his childhood best friend made him a laughing stock after the earthquake incident. His only friend was Wu Qi who was also busy with his girlfriend.
Seeing his life on the real world, where he was obviously alone while his Obsidian family and Ruan Lanzhu only exist the Spirealm, what choice did Ling Jiushi have?
Ling Jiushi, just like other normal people, wanted to be with the family that loved him, wanted to be with his one and only Ruan Lanzhu.
Spending his 50 years to recreate the Spirealm, to get his family and soulmate back was worth it if in the end of the day he could live a happy life with them.
Ling Jiushi said himself when he was in college, he wanted to have a happy family [parents] even if they only exist in the spiritual realm.
The ending never devoid from the plot from the beginning.
Putting aside the whole censorship thingy, this is the best ending for this series.
Making Ruan Lanzhu exist in the real world would be strange because Ruan Lanzhu is the NPC inside the Spirealm.
Making the other players retain their memories about the game or Ling Jiushi could return to the game world easily after the purification means the purification effort failed.
Rewatching, again, and can't help but think that they missed a really good opportunity to kill off that annoying…
Wu Qi was indeed very annoying and disregarded people. Only Li Dongyuan died that he started to change and in the end he could advise Ling Jiushi not to leave Ruan Lanzhu's side.
I have started to watch The Untamed but RLZ and LJS are still in my head. Should i stop The Untamed until i get…
I usually give myself 1-2 months break after watching a series that left a deep impression before watching the new one.
The Untamed is worth the high rating because it is definitely really good, but it needs a whole focus to really enjoy and understand everything from beginning to the end. It took me 2x rewatch until I could grasp everything clearly.
It is a whole of heartbreaking, heart-touching, full of sweetness and angsty and funny moments that really can make you feel like riding a roller coaster.
This is the best danmei adaptation [The Spirealm is second] for me.
so, i have a question. is this show really gory/scary? i cannot watch horror movies/shows, so i'm a bit sceptical…
Hi there...
The horror parts are still acceptable for me who can't take horror things either, although there is 1 specific scene that I keep closing my eyes and covering my ears whenever I rewatch it.
Nevertheless, this series is really worth to watch.
This series is much milder for the horror and gore parts compared to the book. [The book is so scary for me]

Since it's about a game world and program whatsoever then it should be understood as a technical computer program thingy to make it easier.
As you are sad about Immortality and JITD, I am really hopeless about Winner is King. π¬
