Hi! Does anyone get how the doors work because like Lanzhu has entered several doors (also the harder ones) right…
My brief answer to your questions without giving too many detail spoilers (hopefully).
Every player will enter different setting when they enter the door.
For example in the first door, the snow village, some players just entered the game (just like LJS) while others entered the snow village not as their first door, as long as they still in the same level doors.
Ruan Lanzhu was an expert the door world, it is said he had entered the 10th door, therefore he could jump in in lower level doors and brought other players to help them getting through it.
Throughout the story, LJS had entered 11 doors. There's one door that wasn't explained the details inside the door. There's also one door which he didn't enter with RLZ.
Can anyone explain why it's listed as 78eps cuz I can only find 30 something EPs on viki..
When it was first broadcast, in February 2024, there were 78 episodes with 15-20 minutes duration/episode.
Then it was removed and banned to be broadcast in China.
They finally managed to sell the broadcast right to international tv/online platform, then it was re-packaged into 38 episodes with 40mnts duration for every episode, they also added opening and closing song.
There is no difference in scenes for the 78 or 38 episodes.
I'm genuinely curious is Ruan considered extremely handsome in China and Ling would just be average? I think in…
Ruan Lanzhu [Ruan Nanzhu in the book] was decribed as a very good looking man and beautiful woman when he cross-dressed as a woman [Ruan Baijie] if I'm not mistaken in every door they went through.
He's a beautiful drama queen, even Ling Jiushi [Lin Jiushi] was attracted to Ruan Baijie's beauty.
As for Ling Jiushi, he is described as a handsome man, but not as handsome as Ruan Lanzhu.
does anyone know if ruan lan zhuβs voice was dubbed or if xia zhiguang did it himself? asking cuz the actorβs…
It is dubbed. Most of cdramas will use voice actors to dub, mainly because the actors' voice sometimes doesn't match with the characters or because their native accent is too thick.
I am up to episode 27 and I'm loving it so far, I am so confused why this show got banned? I understand Addicted…
Advance Bravely was broadcast in 2017, it was after the heat from Addicted got a bit down. The Untamed was broadcast in 2019.
Even so, the actors from those series are not allowed to interact in public due to act in the danmed adaptation series.
Later on, after 2021, the banned is strengthened again. The Justice in The Dark was one of the victims, it was taken down only after 8 episodes were broadcast.
Long story short, all danmei adaptations are not allowed to be produced by China's production house and broadcast in mainland China. That is why Shapolang and Immortality distribution rights were revoked and not allowed to be broadcast.
However, the adaptation right still can be sold to foreign production house, including the right to do shooting and using China's actors, but the distribution and promotion are still not allowed to be done in mainland.
Stay With Me was produced by Taiwanese production house by using the China's actors.
The Spirealm production team tried many ways, hoped that it could be broadcast in mainland [by making into 20mnts per episode and changed the storyline from the original novel] and Iqiyi made huge decision [blunder] by directly broadcast the whole 78 episodes.
They were just broadcast for few hours, then it was reported by many people and finally got to be taken down and the distribution right was revoked, but they still could be broadcast internationally.
That is a bit of explanation from what I acknowledged from many sources.
Can we get a 2nd season of this? Since the novel version & series versions are different?
I'm afraid there wouldn't be any sequels for this series.
This series was deliberately created quite different from the novel. The main reason is to pass the censorship but unfortunately it still can't bypass it.

Tan Zaozao, do you think with my condition now, I can't peel you?
Lingling Ge, please persuade Ruan Ge. He wants to peel me.
What tool do you want to use? Can a fruit knife peel her?

He indeed act like a nagging concubine in some scenes... π»π
With those whole kissing scene, it's quite impossible for passing the govt censorship.
Damn those 4 young actors... I wonder how they would continue to develop their career in mainland.
When players die inside the door, they will also die outside the door.

2. The level for the horror is probably on 5 or 6, some arcs are quite scary but still acceptable.
