Theres something i dont understand about the concept. Can somebody shed light on the doors inside of the game.…
Each player needs to pass through 12 doors to finish the game. There are 4 levels on the game. [Ruan Lanzhu explained the game to Ling Jiushi on the eating noodle scene, after they passed through the first door, probably at ep 3 or 4]
Obsidian is an organization that assist and guidr players to pass each door safely.
Ruan Lanzhu as the Obsidian leader was a formidable player who had passed through the tenth door.
He and other players who had reached high level doors could go and pass through lower level doors again to assist other players or gain more experience.
There are 4 levels of game, for each level, there are lots of scenes, so each player's experience may vary [for example on the snow village door, it was the first door for Ling Jiushi but not for other players. They met on that scene because they were still on the same level]
All answers will be revealed at the last few episodes.
There are 12 doors in the drama, although not every door scene was shown, but there are hints mentioned about it.
Finished watching the anime, reading the book, and also watching this drama since few months ago.
The drama and anime completed the novel [more or less] with some exaggerating scenes on the anime.
The dialogues here [the drama and the anime] mostly followed the novel.
As for the characters, the characters whose presence is minimized a lot are Lanyue Hou, Sikong Changfeng, Xie Xuan, and Ji Xue. The rest are not so much. [Wu Xin, Sikong Qianluo, Ye Ruoyi, and Tang Lian]
I think the drama followed around 70 % of the novel. If there's the 2nd season, probably would follow the extra chapters content and the war at the border [with Nanjue]
The main character here [based on the novel] is really Xiao Se, not Wuxin, nor Lei Wujie.
The trio shared mutual trust, with Xiao Se and Wuxin shared deeper bond, and both considered Lei Wujie as their younger brother [although they often mocked him for being silly and simpleton]
Personal opinion and preference after reading 3 novels and watching 3 dramas [The Blood of Youth, Dashing Youth, and Blood River] :
1. The Blood of Youth 2. Blood River 3. Dashing Youth
I dropped dashing youth. I tried, it just wasn’t clicking for me.I have watched The Blood of youth almost 10times…
My personal opinion, I think The Blood of Youth and Blood River's story is more complex and deeper, really make me think and analyse a lot, but these trilogy series are good, they really made it connected to each other and retain lots of actors to replay the role in these 3 series.
Wu Xin is special, almost pitiful human being. The trio's friendship is really touching. The first 6/7 episodes when they ventured together is my favourite.
For me the voice dubbing is an issue in this show. I guess it's good to dub Lie Xue Yi when he is >30 and his…
I found you here too... Can't comment about the dubbing coz most C-Dramas are dubbed, some good, some annoying or even worse. Actually, Wu Xin and Xiao Se's conversation made me thinking of Zhou Zi Shu [ Word of Honor] had conversation with Lu Yi [Under The Power] 😅
12 episodes in, can you spoil me about the emperor. Did he loves his sons and who from palace sided with chuhe?…
He's a villain for stealing someone's fiancee and had his brother killed for whatever the reasons are.
But, just like Sikong Changfeng said, he's a good emperor for making the country safe and prosperous and a good father to Xiao Se, although not really attentive to Xiao Chong and Xiao Yu, but cared enough to them.
The people who lied to Yi Wenjun was different, they were Beiqu people who wanted to use Ye Dingzhi's innate inner strength for their leader, so that he could regain his strength and and defeat Beili to rebuild their Beiqu state.
Wang Rensun betrayed Ye Dingzhi by revealing his home location in Gusu City and also fought together with othet swordsmen to defeat Ye Dingzhi.
The one who betrayed Ye Dingzhi is Wang Rensun, a swordsman who he met in Gusu City, and later on become good friends.
Tian Waitian people never betrayed him. They instead after Ye Yun's death made a pact with Baili Dongjun. Ye Anshi [Wu Xin] was kept in Beili for 12 years, giving them enough time to re-organize Tianwaitian, cleaning the mess and clearing the path for Ye Anshi to be Tian Waitian leader.
Based on the timeline of the story : - Dashing Youth - Blood River - The Blood of Youth
My favourite after watching and rewatching these 3 series : - The Blood of Youth - Blood River - Dashing Youth
My favourite Characters : - Su Muyu - Xiao Se - Xiao Ruofeng
I wish the books author would create specific story about Xiao Ruofeng, because I think he's the important character that connected to each main character and story [and still Bai Shu as the actor]
Only novel, donghua, and drama.

1. The Blood of Youth
2. Blood River

I like the drama, the novel, and also the anime.
As the timeline, TBOY's story was after Xiao Ruofeng [Langya Wang]'s death.
Dashing Youth as its title, was about Baili Dongjun and Xiao Ruofeng's youth [and also Ye Dingzhi's story]
Blood River happened not long before Xiao Ruofeng's death.
Each series can be watched as independent drama, but they indeed in the same shared universe and somehow connected [more or less].
This is an article on Baike Baidu about the author.

In The Blood of Youth, Zhao Yuchen's disciple became Xie Xun's disciple after his death.
