Title Six Flying Dragons Spoiler
lol I'm alone in this page... just came to state that I'm gonna miss Gil Tae Mi so much. :( He wasn't good but not too bad either and just... he was so lovable and cute. :( One of those vilains you love to not hate.

For the first time in my history of watching dramas I have no clue what's going to happen.
DEAR LAWD PRAISE THIS SHOW!!!
I'll admit SHR kinda lost its mojo after the past couple weeks imo... I've been watching Six Flying Dragons and all its perfection makes it really hard for me to appreciate the lacking ones... ALSO, the time skipping is really tiring and create huge gaps in the story. I wish the drama was made longer so all those missing parts would be developed properly but... sighs. Here I am, glad I have a quality drama to keep me busy till next MOONday. :)

He must be the best kisser out there... all the dramas I've seen with him, I got jealous of the actress being kissed... lol And his smile just... makes me check in on the floor. T A T

I didn't even like Sohyun before but in this character, with all those puppy stares, I'm already sold by episode 3. She's a great actress, managed to make me hate her guts through her vilains and superficial/attention seeking with daddy issues teens, but Hyun Ji is so lovely, bringing out all the cutesy Sohyun has, and I'm melting.
I'm also impressed that they have good chemistry considering the age gap - now that's what I call professionalism. Not quite romantic yet but... they simply go well together? I don't know. They work as a pair, as a team; let's see how they go as a couple.
This is a great "light-weight" drama! I'm having loads of fun watching it so far. ^-^

I'm not used to chinese dramas nor mandarin at all and I tried watching this... gotta say it's being…
Thank you, Blabla. I planned to try the C-version as soon as I finished the Korean one because I'm curious about the constant comparisons made. As I said, I really never watched a C-drama till the end so I believe there's a block there... but I agree with you, Ice Fantasy is a great drama with a thick and interesting plot. I love fantasy and yet I didn't have high expectations either because I knew it wouldn't be a super production kind of thing but, as I also said in a previous response, I was surprised by the great quality of the CGs! Not that they are perfect, of course (we can't compare a C-drama to Narnia, for example, when it comes to visual effects), but terrificly better than I expected.
The pilot worked pretty well for me, I was quite hooked. But around the second one I was already getting ticked off by the dubbing. I also love the pace! It's my first try at longer dramas and I used to think they were draggy like the national soap operas but no! So many things happening... it's really good but, sadly, I can't get used to it enough so fast - it's like watching a parody, quite distracting too.
Then again, it could be the production quality of the other dramas I'm currently watching making the contrast too big to endure... I don't know. But I won't give up. ^-^ I'll get back to it next year, perhaps, since that gives me some time to finish everything and catch up with some C-drama recs I've been given.
Hope you enjoy the ending! Have a great week. ^u^

I'm kinda upset Ddang Sae turned out being played by Yo Han instead of Gyun Sang. Chang Young's character looked so much like Gyun Sang's I was betting everything that he was Ddang Sae...
I wish they would pay more attention to trivial things like this, details that would make all the difference! Yo Han could have played Bang Won instead... can't see how he turned out looking anything like Yoo Ah In... They could've simply switched their parts in this one! Ah In would be perfect as Moo Hyul, Gyun Sang as Ddang Sae and Yo Han as Bang Won... ah... :( What must I do to get into the casting business? lol

I'm taking notes. I love crying, what to do. :( That doesn't come easy to me tho; I've only watched 1 liter of tears and I did my fair share to the bucket but I want moooore.

Thank you, Jojo, I'll check those out when I can! ^-^
I have no clue about chinese except "ai" and "nihao"... XD But it's so obvious the dubbing is off... I don't like anything dubbed, not even in my language. :( I get it though, why they would do that... I believe chinese is a tricky language that demands a lot of attention to the pronounciation. So it could lead to many many many mistakes and extra work... also, there are foreign actors in the cast as well, right? I really understand their reasons but... it's not good paced. ;^;

And I agree, I also like what I see for most part. Some scenes are way too much and childish imo but all the visual is amazing. I get this "Avatar" (anime) vibe from it. It's not draggy and very interesting, that's why I'm pleading for help! I haven't watched any C-dramas so far, I guess... chinese sounds so awkward to me too, it's very very different and all the sounds... well... sound the same so I can't really grasp the character's emotions on their lines, you see? Since the voice actor is all in and the actor... isn't. It's quite odd.

But thanks again for your recs. I'll add those to my list and resume Ice Fantasy sometime in a near future. ^-^

Jong Suk and Gyun Sang??? They were such a cute pair in Pinocchio and I could see the resemblance. ShinHye also looks like Suzy who looks like EunHye. I like articles like these but can't think of any other look alikes right now... except those involving idols like... Lee Min Ho and Onew... Yoo Jin Goo's straight face looks just like Taehyung's. XD

Thank you for the recs, Hazel! I'll try those. It's a huge change indeed from K to C-dramas and a fantasy on top of that... I already expected poor visual effects (and they are quite alright here, a lot better than expected, lol) but the dubbing makes everything a lot harder to watch. Fantasies are quite the challenge to actors because they need a lot of body acting rather than vocal/expression so, even if the cast is good, they can't quite sell the action scenes. The story seems so amazing... I want to watch this, I really do, but I can't properly appreciate the plot with all those major distractions, alas. :( Perhaps you won't face the same troubles I am. Give it a try! ^^

I'm not used to chinese dramas nor mandarin at all and I tried watching this... gotta say it's being painful... like watching The Power Rangers or something? Someone give me tips on how to cope with the large difference, please? I've been interested in this drama ever since the teaser but kept postponing it because I feared not being able to properly enjoy it and here I am... Perhaps some good chinese drama recs so I can get used to the language? Idk... ;-;
Also... do they dub themselves? Because it looks so... weird. T - T

Terrific start! Then again, I already feel like Je Hoon is overacting. Too intense, too overdramatic...
