Most characters are so infuriating I thought I was hating this show, but...
It's actually a great appeal! Not having the goodie two-shoes for once. All the main characters are "hateable" - I really can't say relatable, thank God, to an extent I really considered dropping the show thinking it was bad - but it's actually pretty good! The plot is intriguing and I just couldn't stop until I reached the ending, which I can't say I liked, but then again I didn't stop to think about better alternatives.
The obsession level was sickening!
Imagine being left by your fiancé and ruining your whole life because you can't get over it! Pathetic.
Imagine being so hooked on the person who chose to leave your broke ass you're willing to ruin everyone's lives because they clearly don't love you! Pathetic.
Imagine enduring daily humiliation just for the sake of a fancy lifestyle (yes! because that decision came before the children! and she made it clear over and over through the show that the lifestyle was a big deal for her)! Pathetic.
Rich people treating others like garbage? Pathetic.
Parasite wife beater? Pathetic.
That teenage prick throwing a fit all the time for nothing? Pathetic.
Even the lil kid being a brat irked me so bad in the beginning until they seemed to change his character altogether. lol
And the main character smiling all the time was so uncanny I was completely pissed! Like, girl, have you no pride? Are you even alive? React, ffs! I could not deal.
Only characters I had affection for was MC's bff, brother and husband, plus the bartender. All the others got on my nerves too much. haha 5 stars to the writers for that, though!
Long story short, I felt like shaking 90% of the characters and slapping sense into them and I was so irritated through the show, but that comes to show how good it is. I never watched anything that caused me so many bad feelings at once. It does deliver!
It's tragedy from beginning to end - an unique experience that keeps us grinding our teeth at one then another and I hope I never come across anyone similar to any of these people in my life, honestly.
If you, like me, love the dramatics and being provoked like this, definitely watch it!
