Our ML love language is actions. He is a man of actions through an through. His sincerity shines through his actions. And we can clearly see his feelings in all his actions. 1) He saved Chai Jing for FL- even though he said he is no gentleman - He didn't take advantage of her state.
2) The way he buried that Danzhou Bandit case for her, try to find out and then listened to her part of the story. There you can see him admiring her fighting spirit.
3) He let her take that corpse away. His main reason when his subordinate asked was along the lines of - ' her mother is the only warmth in her life'.
4) His coming quietly, completing the lines of her poem and silently going back.
5) I think what touched my heart the most was when he made sure planks were in place for FL mother's wheelchair during that lantern 🏮 festival banquet.
6) The silly things he did to drive away other suitors. Also, I loved that hero-saving-the-beauty-from-bandit silly play he agreed to do to impress her.
The casting of the actress who plays Chai Jing is very good- she gives off the assassin/martial artist vibes very well. I hope we will see more of her.
If Mr. Yuwen here was even half as cunning and plotting as his roles in other cdramas I have watched- these villains wouldn't have stood a chance. Anyways, I found this Green forest role very gud
I actually like the FL now. She is slowly becoming her own person, and making her own decisions. In earlier episodes I was worried when she looked too robotic and devoted for that agenda. Now she feels more relatable.
Can we talk about how endearing is the acting of the male lead despite him being a "spoiled brat". I don't see…
I think because a. Neo Hou is awesome b. The character the way it is written is really good. It shows he is kind-hearted, values relationships, and is easygoing and carefree. At the same time he is also sassy in a funny way and doesn't takes things personally even when he is sometimes insulted (sort-of). Also, he doesn't have any ego problem, he is really kind of like open-minded, doesn't compares himself to others, and is very confident about his ambition of being the best. I think he portrays the spirit of martial heroes of Jianghu very well- unrestrained, carefree and righteous.
been hearing so much about this series - how is it compared to the sequel? which should I watch first?
It is very good ...I am really loving it Tbh, i watched sequel a long time ago and forgot its story now, but I personally believe this can also be watched independently, unless u like to connect the dots of the present you know (The Blood of Youth) to the past this story tells of the previous generation of heros (ongoing)

Kind, forgiving, patient and loving

Watching his drama has cleared my pores, healed my eyebags and brightened my skin😂

I have forgotten most details since my last watch
It was heart touching when he told her he always has her back.
I think as someone who has always been burdened with responsibilities of reviving her kingdom, that seems like the first time someone said that to her
