The ML is doing a very good job portraying his character. The fact that mdlers don't have a LOUD say in his childish and spoiled rotten persona means he is doing really well acting that part and it came from mdl who are full of complaints with just the slightest or minor inconveniences. There is even who came from the future who have seen the whole 40 episodes with a rating of 1. How can we take this ppl seriously, make it more sense?!
Hou Minghao is doing an excellent job especially with the personality of his character. If this is portrayed by a different actor with a baby face to pass it off as a youth, it will come off as really cringy to watch. Having baby face is a thing but acting the part by being childish and spoiled rotten without cringing the audience is a difficult part to act.

My fave moment is when 2ML unsheathed his sword for him which is hilarious with his dialogue saying he don't know any sword technique that's why he just don't bother to unsheath it 😭😭😭🤣🤣🤣
What I really liked about this drama is that the ML has many fighting sequences as I saw the trailer and even if he is not yet skilled enough in the episodes shown (1-4), you can see how he can easily steal the spotlight (Grand entrance with the 🐍) because in TBOY, the ML (Xiao Se) in there is being overshadowed constantly by his friends or other supporting characters. He shined with his wits and I like that about him but I really want to see more highlights for him but considering his condition in that drama, it's impossible. He did in fact had his well deserved ML moment but it was towards the end and the fighting scene is too short for me to savour 😬.
Back to Dashing Youth: What's interesting in these latest episodes is that Baili Dong Jun don't even have an idea how powerful that swordmanship he displayed and yes, he stole the spotlight again with his uncle stressing 🤣.
One thing that doesn't sit right me here in this comment section is the accounts typing long ass essays, creating fake scenarios implying the FL "prostituted" herself to climb the ladder. It's misleading, you would think you are in a different drama page with the way they are yapping. The ML is the only man the FL let to touch her even in the 5 year time skip.
There is a "season 2" released with different casts and they completely changed the storyline. We will just wonder in our dreams what happens next after the cave scene in this season.
