I particularly loved BYL’s attire/hair when:
- She was in carriage and she and XD split up (her to cousin, him to Prince Nanyuan)
- Ep 15/16 she sits on the dock (of their home!!! ♥️🥰) and her hair is down and the sunlight highlights her

I think it’s more than just formal vs informal settings for YL. Wish they kept it down more. I hate that topknot 😣

Additionally with skinship there is a preview of XD boldly reaching over to hold YL’s hand in her jealous monologue 😜 trying to comfort her. Met with her irritated slap but I love how it speaks so much of the progression of their relationship so far

When you mention family above, I assume her hidden identity? Post ep 16 we see that her only cousin is subject to the Prince and is bonded so there’s no protection here with this male relative.
Good perspective on the skinship esp when contrasting to the creepy Emperor. Despite Peter Ho’s skills they really miscast here with the age difference

XD has already confessed many times over like you stated by action and by words (his probing questions). The loudest confession to date is the immediate remodel of “their home”. He’s remembered her every need and desire from serving as her stability and home port to being there when she gave her family their comeuppance (just as he promised he would). This whole time she knew that he “covets” her so neither of them are in the dark at this point, but the direct words. Hard to say. The thread connecting them has been there throughout that she will do things she didn’t like to protect him and he will prioritize her wants first and maybe neither will say it bc the words spoken aloud are more dangerous than the status quo. I mean for heavens sake they are already touching each other palm to palm in public ♥️. Anyway I think it will be XD bc even though he’s a man that speaks with actions, the royal machinations will force his hand to put his feelings into words to stop YL from returning
