The dads and uncles became
officials, other businessmen etc. They didn’t have a role in the family hierarchy since it’s matrilineal. Theyre trying to emphasize that since Rongs are descendants of the Kingdom of Women, only the womenfolk are nurtured and trained since 4yo to have household/business roles. Which is why RSB was auditioning the guys for the role of male “concubine” or eventual husband

2nd sister knew that turning point moment was happening. She knew if RSB stepped out of that doorway, the whole Rong empire and family would collapse without RSB type A personality and business acumen. FINALLY 2nd sis coming around. I guess being a mom now is giving her some intelligence

Yes. Last 5 mins of ep 23 show the dialogue that RSB knows that 5th sister chose “a difficult path to walk” aka her behind the scenes machinations

1st/4th/6th sisters mom died. 2nd/3rd sisters unsure. 5th mom was a maid. Cousin’s mom married out of the family and removed from the Rong Geneology so the matriarch raises all Rong offspring in their matrilineal power structure with RSB as de facto head of household

He’s playing the long game and setting his character up to appear harmless and not deceitful. But he’s got grander plans to get the Rong family and RSB
