Let me try to answer your questions one by one. (As far as I know)1- First of all, the part of this series where…
Thanks so much for answering. I don't mind the spoilers and really appreciate the backstory and comparison to the novel. Often it's gonna be different, but if it's done well, I don't mind.
Well, HS pretended to be the appointed executioner for Yin and almost killing her. Others would have been punished by death or expulsion I guess.
Wasn't Yuan Qi suppose to marry Feng Yin anyway for political reasons? Or was he just there in episode 1, because his master sensed their entangled fates? I hope they will reveal the incident somehow, when she helped him against that bully. Because that was his main reason to like that stupid peacock princess.
And why in 1000 years nobody found out that that peacock king did so many bad things for the devils?
Zhao Lusi had the best white wig I've seen so far. The tone was so good, not yellow or too silver and she looked so beautiful. I just had to mention that.
I'm hoping for a happy ending of course, but even more for many scenes with them together again. I don't like them separated. And please Hong Yi and Yan Shuang together. No sacrifices, please.
phaya is a garuda and the giant bird dude at the end of the ep is most definitely him in his first life, tharn…
Thanks so much for the backstory. It's really interesting and I'm curious how that will play out. Are Tharn and Phaya half siblings then? Obviously far off after reincarnation, but I mean in the original lore. And what is the black naga/doc's agenda? I like that actor in the role, because he can play a nice and bad person well.
Still can't believe this series is made by idol factory lolđź’€
That goes to show we should give shows a fair chance. At least watch the first episode to see if you like it or not. There is so much good content out there, you don't have to watch it, if you don't like it. You will easily find other good ones, but then maybe you will miss out on really great ones like this. There are many thai bl shows I like to watch at the moment and I'm not complaining. Obviously they cannot all be equally successful, but no need to talk badly about the ones you don't like. I rather like to talk in this community about all the ones I love and recommend to others to check out.
Hah, and here I was looking forward to the Sign precisely *because* IDOLFACTORY produced Secret Crush On You.…
I loved Secret Crush on you. It was a rather strange plot, but what got me was the display of that group of best friends that stuck together no matter what. And I love the sign for having a much mature setting and characters. The fantasy aspect is also intriguing, main pair's chemistry is soo good. But also like the other cast members. Billy has a much more mature look now, I love it. And I look forward to Babe's future roles. His eye acting is really good.
I love the series and I love how they managed to show all the complex emotions perfectly specially Book and Khao,…
I had the same question about their friendship level. I believe they just didn't show how they became friends. It just felt from the first episode like when Mew narrated about their friend group that we should feel that they are so close. Also friend groups are more like chains connected, some people are closer than others, but also become friends. It's a bit like in how I met your mother, if anyone remembers that, it was odd that they were friends with Barney, but somehow it worked.
It definitely is true that the other 3 are more close friends with eachother than with Boston. And I think he kind of knew that, but didn't care. I mean he filmed Ray and Mew kiss 2 years ago, never said anything about it and used it against Mew to screw his boyfriend. You could sense that he looked down on Mew, but also was jealous of him for being loved and cared about by friends and family. It's not a far stretch that Cheum and the others would believe what Atom told them about what happened. I hope they will talk it out, maybe as a parting after graduation or if Boston moves to the us soon. On the other hand what Ray did with the drugs and drinking at the party was more dangerous than what ever Boston did, but in the end they always excuse him with his issues and addiction. But maybe they should have done an intervention way before Ray escalated like that. But that would have been too mature for them I guess.
Who befriends their Ex “Ex”? Isn’t Mew stupid??? He almost lost Top due to his foolishness and naivety. And…
I also think the introduction of Boeing wasn't that good. Or maybe too late to show more about his character. So he left Sand for top. Top only dates for 3 months I guess and dumps him, but stays friends enough to use him when he has insomnia, after his split with Mew. What? And Boeing is bitter, understandably. But why even deal with or care about Top. You can find someone else so fast. Look at yourself.
And what is with Sand? It seemed that they hadn't had contact at all, with him being angry towards Top. But then he tells Ray Boeing is a friend. So no big deal?
I don't even know when the relationships were, but why is he here now to trouble Sand. And Sand not saying first that Ray is his boyfriend, big mistake.
Boston and Nick give me high-school-sweethearts-vibes-meet-adult-realism. Boston's transformation from a playboy…
It's not even the relationships that are changing. I mean aren't they graduating soon. That's a major change in your life. To find a job or decide on a career. Moving to where your job is. Was their goal to run the hostel/hotel together? Would that even work as of how they are now? Would ray work for his dad? Sand was working all the time, before he met Ray. How will he do that now? Or will he be a successful singer? Touring? Many relationships end because of bad timing. Sadly love is not enough sometimes.
It is official as Boston asked Nick directly to be his boyfriend as long as he is in Thailand. It is the most mature and emotional I've seen him. Even Nick being reluctant, as he knows that Boston doesn't do relationships and wants to move to the us, is a mature change for him. At this time they just get eachother and can be themselves with eachother. Even Boston joking about Nick thinking about him as a boyfriend after their first hookup was so true. That's why I just hope they will make it together to the us. Or Nick will join him later, but having his own career there.
boeing rlly do be annoying mf imma smack his eyeballs off
I feel like, if Ray made the joke with the threesome here Boeing would be game.
He is introduced to make trouble I get that. And maybe he changed from the past, when he was with Sand, but I don't like him. And I can't picture him with Sand as a couple. Sand said they were still friends, but we didn't see him in the clubs at all visiting Sand or Top. It's kind of odd.
I don't like how Sand is handeling the situation. I'm glad Ray does see him as a threat. I hope they explain what happened with Top and Boeing in the past, but probably not in the final episode.
After watching ep 11 I'm confused about something Did the last scene of episode 10 with SandRay was Ray imagination…
Yeah, that's it. The therapist told him to imagine the person that was important to him. That's why Sand was just sitting still like that in the scene, because he was probably hugging the therapist. But that was really great, the raw emotions, the breakdown. I kind of wished it had been the real Sand, but he had his breakdown scene before that already.
Me after I saw trailer for last episode : I swear I am going to be mad if I'll have to wait 1 fuckin more year…
I don't want a second season, either. Or maybe a 2nd with other characters, if it's a new take on the friendship theme. Or maybe connected loosely to the others. The drinking part had me also surprised. With Sand insisting that Ray needs rehab, he wouldn't want him to drink anymore right? I also think Sand shouldn't be drinking, either, while he is with Ray to not be a temptation and they would be kissing, too. So Ray would also taste the alcohol.
Onlyfriends is one of the many shows I'm watching that I really looked forward to every weekend. I read many comments here and now I finally have the time to do so, too.
First, I like almost all of the main actors, some had more material to shine, others not so much.
Characterwise, as many, here I often questioned why they were friends anyway. I mean Mew as kind of a wallflower at first, Ton the hot and slutty one, Ray the rich and (kind of) alcoholic one and Cheum trying to keep them together. They are studying together, yes, but it is not really established if they are true childhood buddies or who is close with eachother.
Then the pairing of Top and Mew was too fast for me. I mean, Top pursuing Mew made sense, but Mew falling for him so soon I didn't get. I didn't feel any chemistry at all although I like both actors from their other series. And now it feels kind of forced that Mew will give him another chance, because one of the problems from the beginning even before the cheating was that Mew had this low self esteem and he was always watching when people flirted with Top. Also, Top being a friend of Ton...the first thing I'd ask if they had hooked up, lol. And I didn't like Mew turning into the party animal, drinking, doing drugs, using Ray. It was so out of character and only because of Top. I don't even know if I want them ending up together.
Boston and Nick had the most controversies with morals and Nick doing illegal wiretapping, stalking etc. But they both showed so much growth. Nick growing in style and mentally. Accepting his feelings for Ton and accepting that they would not be reciprocated. Just wanting hom to not hate him. I really felt his pain in that moment. Boston sleeping around, but trying to not cause any scandals for his dad was kind of funny. Sometimes he was too trusting with people like Nick at first, that Video guy and Cheum's brother. I like his redemption with Nick and probably his friends. I hope they will be endgame maybe later in the us together.
Sand and Ray I love too, mostly because of the actors doing such a great job. Sand reflecting on his feelings is great and Ray finally getting over his feelings for Mew which weren't romantic feelings anyway imho, but I'm curious how they are going to handle Boeing in the last episode.
For women getting less focus in a bl drama, I find Cheum and April a good couple to watch. Even their small quarrel was solved so fast.
My favourite friends are Sand and Nick. If we ignore Sand's stealing that video from Nick's phone, they have been so great together. Roommates, being their emotional support, hanging out together. Even their trying to hook up and laughing about it, felt so genuine. I really like them like that.
So I hope the last episode will be a good conclusion of the show.
Finally watched the ending. It was kind of odd with the cheering of the crowd in the end. So is she reborn with her memories? She is then 15 now? Technically he isn't much older, lol.
I'm just happy that they gave us a happy ending with both meeting and we see that, not like many other dramas where you see one person and he/she turns around to see the other one. That's always so cheap.
Unfortunately they only had that dead fish kiss. Their head to head scenes were much more romantic than all their kissing moments.
I finally watched I told sunset about you and this sequel.
As it is on many recommendation lists, I was curious about it. I have to say I get the high praise. The acting was great, although I don't like to see that ugly crying like Teh did so often, but I understood the emotion behind it. The first series has all the teenage love problems there are, including other parties that are kind of used to get over their real love interests. Also, Teh making decisions he might regret, continues in I promised you the moon. There are more adult problems like studying and making time for eachother, supporting eachother's career choices. The cheating incident was more of a possibility for either of them to have an out. By that time both had the feeling that they were drifting apart, not understanding eachother anymore. I don't know if Teh would have really been with Jai, if the latter had been honest. Apart from that play and acting I didn't think they liked eachother much.
Oh showed definitely growth after their breakup. He always seemed like a dependent kind of person before. That's how Teh saw him in the beginning, when he tried to be with him every day until it was too time consuming for him. Teh was afraid Oh would feel lonely. Then Oh got this amazing new friend group, a new career path and just confidence in himself and that was visible.
Teh got his acting career, but no satisfation from it without Oh. It was his dream to have with Oh, which was why he was so harsh to Oh when he gave up acting.
I liked their reunion and ending. Their understanding that a relationship needs more than love, that it's not perfect and you have to work on it.
I would like to see an epilogue film with them and how they lived after that.
Well, HS pretended to be the appointed executioner for Yin and almost killing her. Others would have been punished by death or expulsion I guess.
Or was he just there in episode 1, because his master sensed their entangled fates?
