I've just watched the part set in 1987 and enjoyed the 80s period styling and attention to detail. Looks like an expensive production.

Definitely! If they can find right styling for him, he will surprise everyone, and as I said from the beginning I want some new face in that genre, because if ML will be Cheng Yi or WHD everyone will compare this role to their iconic previous one. But now Lusi and WAY can have fresh start.

Yeh, script, CGI and styling are what matter.
For example, Look at WHD.
Everyone thought he look bad in his previous xianxia but in LBFAD, he look good and combined with script and CGI, it became successful.
So, everyone should be optimistic about ML and pray for script and styling😅.

I think everything will be good with WAY as ML, he young, promising, he can act, its his first S+ drama, so Im sure he will put more efforts in it. I like that them both didn't have xianxia before, so they can create some new images without comparing with their previous roles.

I think drama just need good styling (I really hope there no boring white robes, and Tencent will learn from success of LBFAD , other upcoming xianxia as TTEOTM and Fox Spirit also have amazing clothes and hairstyles), and of course good script and director who will try the best. Its only things I care now about this drama.

If it’s more female centric & putting Lusi’s character at the forefront of the story then it’s all good to me, no matter who’s the ML.
