Never did I think I would watch this genre let alone enjoy it so much. I tuned in for the actors but this is just so good. There is sadness but it never gets overbearing and there is just this sense of calmness and comfort; like a warm hug.

Ahhhhh! Ep 5 & 6 truly gave me an emotional breakdown❤️‍🩹 It got me smiling, laughing, and crying all at once. Such a beautiful drama it is. I just love the chemistry between the lead actors here...and oh my...they are falling in love again.🥹🥹 The fact that it is based on a true story, is heartbreaking 💔 This series really has good dialogues, and the narration makes it so much more beautiful 🤧 Ah! I love Han Suk-kyu and his voice soooo much, Incredible actor.

I must say frim these bts fotos, most of the costumes look very ugly to me
I like the costumes. The details are exquisite. The balloon sleeves are something I haven't seen in xianxia before (in the ones I've seen anyway 😅). The color combinations especially on the FL's clothes are lovely. Hope to see her on darker and more vivid colors next time. 😊

To get a better understanding of the world and some characters like the ml I would say yes but it is not a necessity
