This started as a cute story but brought me back to reality very quick. I loved the twist at the end, did not see it coming.
But this Jang Hyuk guy is messed up FRš¤£š¤£ Coming back to Bo-Yeong on the SAME night he ditched her to get back with Da-Eun, only to find Da- Eun has moved on, is nasty business and typical man behaviouršš. And even proposing???? There is no way this man was normal.
I always wait until I am half into the drama to have an opinion, but I will comment on this while I am still at…
I finally finished and it was a beautiful watch. I love! love! love!. Trust Liu Yuning to always make me cry in his roles. Totally recommend anyone to watch.
I have seen people say that it was an open ending, but for me it wasn't. Yan dies. In her speech at the competition, Duan Wu made a statement about how man cannot live forever, and I think that alludes to his death. Plus the final scene in the dessert, we can hear an older voice of Duan Wu after 40 years, talking about her journey as a free business woman with regrets that she cannot regret, and there is no mention of Yan.

I'm on episode 35 and feel so sorry for Zheng Wu and Cui Shijiu. I couldnāt stand them at first, but their ending is just sad šš. Now that I look at it, they were just kids trying to live their lives the way they wanted, but their parents totally messed them up. All their troubles started from the parents actions 16 ( maybe 18/20? ) years ago. At least Zheng Wu got his love reciprocated.
I always wait until I am half into the drama to have an opinion, but I will comment on this while I am still at episode 7. First of all I love Both Zhao Lusi and Liu Yuning ā¤ā¤. Every show I have watched with them in it has always been phenomenal and I know this show is going to be outstanding too.
From just the first few episodes, this is truly a beautiful show. The theme of independence is very evident and I love it. I am always drawn to shows with independent/courageous/no nonsense female characters and Duan Wu is exactly that!!!. I have seen some spoilers of the ending online but I believe watching a show is about the journey; seeing how the characters interact, the comedy, the tears, the drama, the music, the cinematography and everything that ties it all together. So despite knowing the ending, I am still watching this show.
oh to be Tang Yang š. This is such a slow burn drama but absolutely worth it. It does not have any big misunderstandings or drama, and they are easily resolved too. The ML and FL are so cute and the support cast is so funny. I love it ā¤
Seong Gi Hun is a huge fucking moron. Going around with that holier-than-thou behavior, 'I want to save everyone,…
I think that Gihun entered the game without much of a plan. After three years of waiting and searching, youād expect him to have a solid strategy, but nope! His first mistake was relying on the tracker in his tooth to bring reinforcements from the cop. That plan fell flat pretty quickly. Gihun expected the games to follow the same pattern as Season 1, but with only one familiar game, he quickly came back to his old ways of surviving by luck. Gihun has never really been much of a planner, compared to Sang Woo (Sn 1) that's why his plan to attack the masked staff and steal their guns led nowhere. He did not even have an idea of where the control rooms were!!
I will probably get roasted for my comment but this season is a total crap compared to season 1 for me š It's…
I agree that this season is a bit underwhelming compared to Season 1. I think a lot of people feel the same, partly because they were expecting Season 2 to have a similar vibe to the first one (me included). Gihun is so focused on revenge and bringing down the VIPs making it hard for him to recognize the real threat. He is still clueless of the real enemy same as season 1. I believe that's why most people have this reaction to Sn 2 because its very different from sn1 but similar at the same time, making it feel a bit repetitive to some extent. Iām hoping Season 3 will have an even more exciting and unpredictable storyline.
Iām on episode 10, and I just have to say how much I love the chemistry between Gui Xiao and Lu Chen! Theyāre both so smitten, and it feels so natural. You can see it in Lu Chenās eyes, actions, and words, and in Gui Xiaoās smile, touch, and expressions . Itās the perfect slow burn, and Iām obsessed!
I however feel like they should add a ātoxic familyā tag because itās such a big theme, especially with Lu Chenās family. Almost everything he does seems tied to his dadās toxic behavior. His friend even mentioned that the dad used to pick on Lu Chenās sister so much that Lu Chen had to become the ābad kidā just to redirect the dadās cursing and hitting toward him instead. I donāt get why his mom stays so quiet and doesnāt stand up for her kids.
Other than that I am totally loving the maturity of these couple. ā¤ā¤
its also very unrealistic because during that time.. it wasn't very wise to just walk away from a marriage as…
I get where youāre coming from, but from my perspective, I think they found a balance. The women in the story do have some freedom, but itās not like theyāre just walking all over the men or ignoring societal norms completely. They show respect where itās due. look at Song Mo and Dou Zhao, for example. Dou Zhao and Song Mo have a mutual dynamic where they respect each others decisions. It wasnāt one-sided or forced. But for Ming, she trusted her husband blindly, thinking heād always have her back (despite him ALWAYS letting her down), and look where it got her...dead. So, while the show might lean into a more modern take at times, itās not completely dismissing the realities of that time period. Itās a mix of empowering the women while still grounding them in respect and consequences. Because unfortunately even in present times, there are women who blindly follow their partner like Ming, which as history has shown time and gain, does not bring out the best outcome.
This drama has such a strong pro-women message, and Iām absolutely loving it! It really shows the difference between WANTING a man and NEEDING one. its clear the women arenāt afraid to walk away from their marriages or relationships the moment they feel suppressed, and I think thatās so powerful. What I also appreciate is how realistic it feels like, not everyone is ready to support a woman breaking away from a patriarchal system, and sometimes itās her own family holding her back. So far, Iām hooked! The chemistry is amazing, the friendships are so wholesome, and I love how they show that family isnāt just about blood and that sometimes strangers can become your family too. I canāt wait to see how it progresses.
I canāt lie and say I didnāt enjoy this drama. Literally binged it over 3 days and cried at the end. The chemistry…
SAMEEE!!! The FL constantly chasing the ML was seriously starting to get on my nerves. To put it in your words GIRL PLEASE STAND UP!! She let her entire life revolve around him, and it was exhausting to watch. Whatās even more frustrating is that the guy never, not even ONCE, made an effort to take the first step. Like, seriously?! I absolutely love the show but the one-sided effort is so frustrating.
I went into this expecting a rom-com (the title certainly gives off that vibe and I had not watched the trailer), but it turned out to be so much moreāand I loved it. That said, I have a major issue with Gao. His character is utterly despicable and infuriating. Watching him pull cheap stunts to get Li Xun out of the way is downright frustrating. Every time heās on screen, I get very upset. And donāt even get me started on Xu Linaāwhatās the deal there? She is from a rich family but apparently Gao is the one in control of her lifestyle?!?!?!? Iām still trying to figure out their dynamics. On the brighter side, I love the light comedy the Flying Company team brings.
5 of 6 of the squad dies, so it could be considered a sad ending in this aspect , but we see the leads son at…
I did a deep dive and someone made a comment on reddit that I found the most logical. Apparently the ML and FL are good at faking their death (We did not actually actually see Ning's and Ruyi's dead bodies). Also, in the Beipan camp, the guy from the scarlet team who signaled the others to raid the camp actually helped her escape. Since I love a good ending, I choose to accept this theory. But there is a lot of holes.
