if people were smarter, we wouldn't need therapy for toxic relationships .. A lot of young children and teenageers are influenced by movies, and see them as their guides because they don't know better, they haven't seen nor experienced it. - if a 13 yo sees snow-white , and sleeping beauty, and the little mermaid , and nothing else- they will be bound to think that's how romance work ( a girl needs to be saved by a man and can't protect herself, and a boy needs to be strong and not cry ) until they will actually get into one. - if a 13 yo sees Tangled, Wreck-it-Ralph, Frozen, Lion King - they will see a relationship for what it needs to be (two people respecting each others boundaries and lifting each other up )

There's a difference between liking something as in Junk-Movie and Liking something because you think this is good. This drama is glorifying all the bad habits and that's my problem with it. If the ones at wrong would be taking accountability and actually changing, that would make such a more impactful story. - we look at old disney movies and the toxicity in the relationships where men needs to control their princesses, and now with the live action ones, they're at least trying to make the female characters stand up for themselves without any man controlling them ... LOOK at 'Twilight' --- HORRIBLE - just like old BL vs NEW ones : the controlling TOP that thinks he can get away with anything because of "LOVE????" - THAI BLs have from 40 to 95 minutes per episode... they can develop their stories, and grow their characters so much that we would be like... FUCK YEAH.. BUT NO, THEY CHOOSE FILLER SCENES AND PROLONGED SHOTS - Japanese and Korean BLs have between 5-20 (maybe 40 minutes) and it's a masterpiece, because THEY FOCUS ON PLOT AND CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT

Vee: a manipulative narcissistic character who doesn't take accountability for his actions. Mark: a broken hopeless romantic who finds good in toxicity.
I have not read the novel nor seen the original Thai drama, but this seems promising... the cinematography is good, and the writing is meh as most Thai BLs to be honest but still.
