Been checking the comments here time and time again. Despite struggling to hold myself back, spoliers on Facebook are really tempting me to start watching this. I want to wait at least until episode 8 is out. Hope they will get together then. How I wish tomorrow was Saturday.😭
You can easily skip it as the plot isn't that good but if you've got nothing to watch, you can try watching it.…
Well if only the end matters to you, why would you watch 8-episode series? Did you watch just the ending, nothing else? Audience are not dumb. Just because the ending is happy doesn't mean the viewers have to accept whatever crappy shit they present in the show. It's no surprise why the rating is so high despit the quality of this series. It's your choice if you only wish to appreciate the director based on the ending. For me I judge the show based on how the characters got to that ending. It's a no-brainer that forgiveness came easily to those main characters who were obviously homophobic and two of them were physically abusive towards the the other main character. They didn't look that apologetic but got away with their disgusting actions easily and that's not homophobic? They repeatedly used 'creepy, filthy, disgusting' to shame those who loved them and that's not homophobic? Tae Yi even said ' Are you a girl?' to Se Heon and that's not homophobic? Happy ending doesn't resolve every problem in a magical way. The director should have shown how the characters took time and reflected on their actions instead of just them coming to the conclusion quickly that they liked their partners and asked for forgiveness. Also the above commenter asked about the plot, not the ending.
is this a skip??? I want to watch but the internalized homophobia plot kinda puts me off
You can easily skip it as the plot isn't that good but if you've got nothing to watch, you can try watching it. There were some cute moments between the main couple. The second couple didn't have much screentime even though their chemistry was better. There were a lot of nasty homophobic remarks made by three characters in the show and they got away with it easily. Scenes of sexual assault are also included. I can't help thinking the director might be a homophobe because these issues weren't addressed properly.
I prefer ASTCO a lot more than this. They spent too much on time on unnecessary things like Joo Ha sexually harassing Se Heon and finding Tae Yi's apartment in the beginning episodes but rushed things in the last two episodes. On top of that, what's wrong with the two main characters' homophobia and their sudden change of mind? This is the first time seeing this amount of sexual assault done to the main character by the other two main characters in a BL series. Plus what made me more uncomfortable is Se Heon forgave them just because they say 'I'm sorry'? Tae Yi being all lovey-dovey with Se Heon just a day after he did physical assault to him rolled my eyes. We are expected to believe he reflected on his wrongdoings and realized his love for Se Heon within a night? In terms of the chemistry, despite the annoying character of Joo Ha, he and Do Yoon had a lot more chemistry than the main couple but the director didn't do them justice. Hope to see a spin-off of their story.
I'm trying to resist the urge but barely able to do that. Keep coming here to check. I don't know when I'll have…
Same. We have to hang on for a bit longer. I hope to wait until when they get together because I don't want to fall apart seeing the heartbreak of the main couple. The story seems to be sad. It will be emotionally exhausting to wait for new episodes while the leads are suffering😭
I really wanted to like this as I'm running out of completed BLs to watch but that kiss in episode 1 put me off. I mean who signs contracts by kissing? It's out of context and kinda cringy considering it's done by a robot.
I have a feeling the two main actors are not very comfortable with their roles or their partners, especially GC. Even though the story is cute, they have no chemistry and feel like they are just acting. They don't seem to be immersed in their roles.
