I feel the same. There are still people who are on her side. In fact, public opinion isn't that critical. There are many Chinese celebrities who get a lot of hate online but can easily accept roles for new projects. I don't see BY being blocked by the industry just because of some haters.

I don't know but I've figured this matter is not simple. A lot of marketing accounts are attacking her today although they didn't make any moves in the past few days and their posts are getting several likes. It can't be a coincidence.

I suspect one big cheese is behind the attempt to screw up BY's reputation and hinder her to come back. As they can't use tax evasion scandal anymore, they are using eye drops thing and CP thing (even dragging Lay's name again) at the moment on Weibo. What's surprising is that these kind of malicious posts are getting so many likes within just a few hours, just like buying Facebook likes. Even the post about Zhu Xudan and Yang Mi's leaked pictures (for FSM) hasn't got as many likes as those posts.

I think they are using BY to hype their drama. I hope the official news come out fast so that she won't be bullied.

You are right. These toxic people on Twitter might be there to spread the rumours in their country. But you know what? The international fans follow their lead and believe those rumours and willing to contribute for those toxic rumours to spread like wildfire. That's why I was often out of sorts when I was using Twitter to follow entertainment news.

I don't really want to throw out another actor's name here as I don't wanna get into an argument. But since you're asking I can give you a clue. He is a very famous actor from HR company and he is maried. I'm sure you can make a correct guess.

I think Chinese people, especially Cnets, have different way of understanding about the term professionalism. I've noticed a famous Chinese actor, being unprofessional in some ways in his dramas, is praised as a very good actor (with very strong fanbase). Veryyy few local or international fans discuss this and it has never been a hinderance for most people to like him as an actor. Even me, who thinks he can be sometimes unprofessional, appreciate his acting.
But when it comes to BY who has conceivably been trying hard to become a better actress is always treated unfairly by the public. It's no wonder Twitter users also bash her. They are just copying and pasting every negative rumours on Weibo these days. I can understand C-netz like to go to a lot of efforts to judge people they don't like because it's who they are. But international fans should be more open-minded and understanding because they judge the celebrities with more flexible standards in their own lands (apart from Korea). Honestly, even Korean people are getting more forgiving lately as far as I know. But those so-called international fans on Twitter agree with everything C-netz say.

Ikr. These days the first thing in the morning for me is finding my phone and checking her news.😅

After thinking through this matter (and getting into depression lots of times😂), I've figured this case is not very serious. BY's accounts were not removed and she was not banned officially by the government. Even her weibo followers didn't drop significantly. The only problem is that the haters (local and international) and marketing accounts are making a big deal out of it by using the words "tax evasion" although it was already brought to light that she DIDN'T EVADE THE TAX.
I'm sure her upcoming dramas will be released when it's time. I will also forget about her role as Ya Ya. If she is replaced there, I will wait for her new dramas while rewatching my favourite series "Love and Redemption" and "My Sassy Princess". If she can still play the role as Ya Ya, Fox Spirit Matchmaker will be one of the dramas that I will be waiting to watch.
Actually, we can only calm down and expect BY to make the best of this situation rather than being anxious over uncertainties. If she needs time to come back, I hope she can relax and be happy by spending time with who she loves.
After all, BY can even shine through the low-budget series like "My Sassy Princess". I'm convinced she can come back successfully despite this after taking a rest. So I'll try to be patient and wait for good news. I'm really glad to know that BY has a lot of true fans who keep supporting her and I can even interact freely with some of them here. ^^

Ikr. They are just attacking everyone who don't worship YM and GJ like them. Funny that they say BY's fans are spreading hate although it's them who are doing it. I noticed it lately so I've decided not to visit that page again unless there is any official announcements related to BY's role there as I don't even intend it watch it anymore. This is not because I hate Yang Mi but because I can't see another actress as Ya Ya after imagining BY as the one. But if the haters see any comments like this, they will attack all BY fans and drag BY's name because they aren't mature enough to accept other people's choices. I even saw someone who said he/she doesn't like GJ was being attacked. That's quite ridiculous. So I won't plunge myself into anger by visiting that page with toxic YM and GJ fans again. I suggest you doing the same or ignoring all those hate comments.

It'll be a wishful thinking to imagine these two fandoms will reconcile because haters are always louder. So I shut out those thoughts long ago.The way I look at this issue is it's fine as long as both BY and CY are doing well. I will support their reunion and I can also be satisfied with knowing they are just being happy in their life achieving their goals.

As far as I know, the hate started from one of the promotion events of L&R where CY and BY were soooo sweet. When they performed one of the scenes in L&R (after Sifeng's mask removed in a cave), BY kissed CY on his cheek, and antis started to spread hate by saying she shouldn't have kissed him as it was undignified. It was all about jealousy. Both actors performed together, and they had to act according to the suggestions by the director but the one who got hate was BY. They even said her acting was bad. Seriously, she could change her expressions so quickly from a naive cute girl to a brave powerful God of War there. But her reputation was ripped apart severely by antis. I used to wonder, like you, why they hate her so much although she is an outstanding actress. But I have long since realized the main reason for their hatred was pure JEALOUSY. Our girl is just so cute, works hard and can achieve success by relying on herself, while some people are born to destroy what they can't have.
