Yeah. She was perfect for the character in the Long Ballad. Her expressions and way of speaking were natural and impressive there. But I am not saying her acting is bad here. She also tried to bring her character to life in this drama too. It's just I rarely like these kinds of FL characters who are already stunning and adorable but trying deliberately to look cuter. I can't connect with those characters that are found in some c-dramas. But this is just my opinion. I'm quite picky actually.

Really? I thought it was dubbing. I watched Dilraba in Eternal Love and the Long Ballad but haven't watched her interviews or variety shows so I was not familiar with her real voice. Thank you for your information.

I like that there are a lot of hilarious scenes and both ML and FL did very well in portraying their roles. But the middle part became quite draggy. Overall, it was a good drama.

This drama is not bad but it's not that great either. Quite boring in some parts but it's good there are no evil characters. It'd be nice if Chinese entertainment circle and fans were as sensible as the characters here. FL's dubbed voice was quite annoying. Dilraba has too much makeup here and I prefer her character and portrayal in Long Ballad than this one. I really need to appreciate Yang Yang's acting. It has improved a lot and I can see he is giving a lot of efforts to fit his character.

Ikr. This has a pretty good quality despite being a low-budget drama. Quite sad that it's very underrated.

Nope. Only Hou Chi, Shi Xia and Shi Dong were shown in the modern world but Er Ha reappeared there in one scene too.

Same. I just couldn't get into any Chinese romantic costume dramas after I finished Love and Redemption last year except this one. I'm also missing Hou Chi and Shi Xia already.

Although the extra episode was fun, I couldn't get enough of Shi Xia and Hou Chi's sweet moments. I wanted to watch how Shi Xia teach Hou Chi about things in the modern world ALONE, not with bro constantly trying to be between them. They should have made at least three special episodes or a complete second season. I know I'm being greedy but I want to see more of Hou Chi and Shi Xia.
Btw why is the rating dropping continually? This drama deserves at least 8.1 and most of the reviews are positive. MDL ratings are getting more and more unreliable.

Same. I like how all the characters are interesting in their own way. In my opinion, this drama is quite underrated. I also hope for season 2 but I doubt it'll happen.

I still remember the time when Nam Do San was branded as a TOXIC AND MANIPULATIVE boyfriend because he fell in love with a girl genuinely while taking part in covering up other people's lies... Still, his character is one of the best male lead characters in K-dramaland for me. He has flaws and internal struggles but gradually learns to take responsibility for his mistakes. Watching his character growth was very interesting.

It's because Sifeng and Xuanji of Love and Redemption still stick in my mind. ☺️Regarding the ending of this drama, I'm also worried and excited about it but even if the ending won't be good as expected, I wouldn't regret having watched this drama because it is too good that it shouldn't be missed. The story is interesting and the main couple is sooo adorable together. Highly recommend it!
