The best series of the best! Very nice article - I've rewatched it 3 times!

I live in the San Francisco Bay area and some of the people I know are not drug or alcohol habituals.
However, in our town there are two pot stores - which I don't like since it is kind of seamy. Even our city council seem to be quite proud of these pot stores.
As long as you can buy it online, that is better than having a bunch of pot stores in your community.
That is how I feel, others may disagree.

In the US, drinking has taken a hit. Fewer and fewer people are drinking. Years ago in US movies, someone drunk on the street, was seen as funny. That trope is gone - Smoking and drinking have decreased.

Like "Her Secret Life" and so many others that Korean drama has done in the past - not to mention Parasite and Train to Busan!!!!
The stuff we are watching now is full of overused tropes but still they are fun if you don't take them seriously at all.

The interesting part is that in spite of all the drinking that is done in real life in Korea, they still make the finest products around:
cars, technology, appliances, etc etc. Interesting nation!

So true! The writing is light but the actors are good. Too much emphasis is put on the annoying 2ML but that is K dramas for us! Good points David.

I 100% agree with you. So well said!!! Maybe if he takes his glasses off he might appeal to more MDL'ers! I liked the ML in Squid Games, in Queen of Tears and other series he was in.
I don't kwow about the 2ML.

Thanks David - well said. Maybe when the ML takes off his off center glasses, we can see what he really looks like. I think he is kind of cute in a way. The 2ML comes on too strong and just wants a challenge.

I agree with you. It's kind of repulsive to see all that drinking.
It takes away some of the humor and fun out of the series.

I like some of the art on display. That doesn't look cheap imo. However the background music is annoying. That type of music has been used in other K mystery dramas.

I just watched ep 1 and 2.
After coming off the excitingThe Love Story, it was hard to watch this series
it is slow and not too interesting for me anyway.
Now sure if I'll continue watching it.
But give it a try....!

Love Story is beyond excellent - I would give it at least a 9+. She didn't ruin it - just that she didn't add anything to it, yet she played a vital role. Others might disagree with me however. However, please watch it - it is one of my fav C-dramas among several others.

I loved ML in Road Home too! Such a good actor- I just finished Love Story in the 1970's and I agree, the FL is not one of my favorites either. Love Story was an epic series however.

Usually, the side couples (2nd, 3rd, etc.) I skip over them because they are not very interesting and are usually fillers. Every 2nd, 3rd, etc., were captivating as much as the main couple.
