perhaps you're right. I still feel that MDL features more K-dramas than C-dramas but that may just be a prejudice :-) One of the problems with C-dramas is that they have too many episodes and the episodes have too many filler scenes. Yes, one exception, Hidden Love - no fillers. So that might be a problem. However Grab Your Man has many interesting scenes - waiting for the finish! Love the exagerated acting - fun to watch.
I wish I could voice record on this app so that you could HEAR HOW BAFFLED I AM. IM SORRY WYM 7.7 RATING?!?? I…
You said it so much better than I could have ever said! What a wonderful series to watch. I wonder how the Chinese censors passed it! I mean it didn't show much but it was pretty explicit, especially in ep 20.
Maybe the low ratings are because many of the watchers on MDL prefer Korean series better than Chinese series. I don't know if I am right on that.
In the recent past, Netflix had Hidden Love (C drama), When the phone rings (K drama), and many other outstanding shows. However, lately, they have such a meh collection that it is disappointing. Potato Lab was the worst of them all.
Yet the Netflix stock keeps on going up, nearing 1000$/share - they have little competition.
I like Viki.com. The volunteer translators deserve a bit shout. I can usually find something to watch on Viki or rewatch, like Road Home or Fire in My Heart.
I'm currently watching For Eagle Brothers - 50 episodes. I love that show - it is never boring, and the couple romances have young and older couples.
I hope they would hire you from the MDL site -- the usual tropes are getting old, and I bet a bunch of us can think of new stories.
bc only 226 users gave the rating although 2388 users are watching! So .... to get from 7,9 to 7,7, it is enough…
I was going to give my rating after it was finished. If it bothers people, then I can rate it 8.5 for now and change it later. What is lowering my overall rating is the Dancer and the Hairdresser. I wish they would just go sailing off into the sunset, never to be seen again. Amen!
Episode 25:I really do not want the creepy hairdresser to become a frequent visitor. She truly creeps me out.…
I agree with you. She is creepy and manipulative. The Zumba man and the Hairdresser are the least favorite couples - in fact, writers, just leave them out!
That couple is the only one that doesn't make sense. I agree with your post. He's dumb, and she is conniving.…
Here goes both sides:
So we have the Dancer, the Hairdresser, and the Pianist. On defending the Hairdresser: --She was the head of the Dancer's fan club. --She wanted the Dancer badly. --She thought he would want her, too. --She felt she deserved him. --It was all in her mind.
On not defending the Hairdresser: --She became almost threatening against the Pianist when the Dancer seemed attracted to the Pianist instead. --She hired a detective to find out the goods on the Pianist. --She essentially told the Pianist to get out of town or she'll tell The Dancer about her past. (I think this is called blackmail.) --Finally, when the Pianist left town, didn't she pay the Dancer so she could sleep with him, but with no strings attached?
But say for example, The Potato Lab: is the whole series available for Netflix to watch before Netflix agrees to put it on? I guess I don't know the process. Or do they just take a chance without any knowledge of what it is all about? At least their stock keeps on going up, so they must know what they're doing and they have little competition :-)
I stand corrected, thank you! However, Netflix publicized it like it were gold. They should never have carried such a failure. Two years in editing, bad writing, Netflix needs to be more careful in choosing what they show.. I know they have a contract with TVN. However, look at The Potato Lab, another failure. Just be more selective, Netflix.
I know! I always feel like the episode ends so quickly!
This is the most heartwarming series! I know, Hidden Love was a wonderful series, one of my top 5, but this series, Eagle, hits the spot - yes, not perfect, but so rewarding!

How do we apply?!
Waiting for ep 25 - it is 6:00 pm and it isn't out yet on Viki.
