Love movies

I agree - however, I live in the US and Disney doesn't show Asian films here. So I have to go to Kiss to see them. I don't like to do that but I've even written to Disney to complain. I subscribed to it twice but they haven't changed anything. Yes, I belong to IQ, Viki and Netflix.

There are 3 C-dramas that stand out as being some of my favorites;
1) Love is Sweet with leo Luo (sp)
2) My Little Happiness
3) Sunshine of My Life with Han Zhang

I have watched these 3 in parts several times.

Some C/dramas don't end well or end abruptly.
I now add Road Home to the list of 3. (assuming the ending makes sense)

I absolutely look forward to this coming week but it will be sad because it will end soon. However, I can always rewatch in spots.

I know I am pretty critical of most series but this series is really good. So far I would score it a 10/10.
But it might be boring for some people -it doesn't have a lot of angst or action. It is mild compared to other series.
Yes, the ML is good looking I agree! Which episode have you watched so far?

Well, I'll leave the historical/costume series to those that really appreciate them. Whether it is Shakespeare or Ming Dynasty, it is not something that I can truly appreciate.
There was only one that I did like "Live Up to Your Name" because it went from the past to the current and back to the past and it compared both times.

Otherwise, I like modern dramas. But thank you for your response. Oh, and another "Chicago Typewriter" which only went back a few years.

Bottom line: I just can't relate to historical pieces.

She was quite an interesting character in Fox. The ML was too. She played a very different role in Fox - I liked it a lot. There was an interview with the ML and he said that he didn't like to play the bad person role he played in Fox. I thought he did a good job but he was pretty awful :-)

Yes, he was always trying to get her attention. He was so cute in that series. And that kiss was extraordinary. He is a cutie for sure.

What does horse duty mean? that is what you said you refer to some too series.
Do you mean you feel you should keep watching historical dramas and go modern?

I rarely watch historical dramas - I don't know why. Being an American, they don't have much historical meaning to me.

Fox's summer was fun to watch. Both series 1 and 2.

She is so talented - and actually, I was surprised at Jing Bo Ran - I saw him in The Psychologist and he had a completely different role. Less serious but still a good actor.

They both make quite a team. l hope in the future they team up together again.

That's what started me in liking Tan. I've rewatched it in parts and it is never disappointing. (except for Jiang Chao who didn't like to play the bad boss. )
She is just perfect!

if you want to watch an interesting early Tan series "The Fox's Summer" season 1 and season 2. with Jiang Chao as ML. He didn't like the nasty role he had to play but it was wonderful and Tan did a great job. 2017.
I've watched several of her other series but this I'll never forget :-)

Then hopefully Kiss will carry it too. I can't get Disney here in the US for Asian films, not even with VPN.

Loved True Lies!

I was thinking about that like virgin birth but I thought we would get thrown out of MDL. :-)

I also liked him in the Psychologist. He was more fun to watch.
I first saw her in The Fox's Summer season 1 and 2.
She was so different -

You said it so well. But could you imagine if they stayed together and never separated, we would have no series to watch!!

I am too - 10 more - one more week. Both actors are very special in this series. There is an interview on YT of both of them and she is very similar to what she is but he is quite different. More casual etc.

Both are fine actors.

Well something must have happened - but we never really saw any indication to pinpoint it.

Well with almost 20 episodes left, something is bound to happen. This is a beautiful love story, somewhat bittersweet, but very rewarding to us watchers.

Thanks Dedra - wish the subs were in Italian, then I would understand them. English and Italian are the only two languages I speak.
