Basically, he should have told her the truth - how he felt about her. But then we would not have had a story to watch.

Well, she came on too strong and he was weak. He didn't know how to say NO. He went along for the ride but she was relentless to marry him at all costs.

In partial defense of Sang Soo (ML):
Several comments have been made blaming Sang Soo for taking advantage of Mi Kyung.
I see it as the other way around.
She was the one that clawed onto him: introducing him to her friends, and her father, talking about marriage, - nonstop ensnaring Sang Soo. She even bought him an expensive car which he did not accept so she smashed the windshield of the car.

The problem is that he just went along for the ride until it got too close to the marriage. She never asked him what he thought of her suggestions -

Sure he was depressed about Soo Young but he was wrong in being led by the hand (clutch) by Mi Kyung.

His confession to her in the car was over the top. He over-confessed just so she could feel better about herself.

Well, that is the way I see it after watching ep 14.

Excellent review of Ep 14. It is worth re-reading it. So what do you think will happen to the main couple in ep 15/16? I mean if it is farewell, then what?

As I said, Sang Soo was weak and feeble. I didn't see where he was intent on using MG. MG grabbed onto him and never let go. He should have just pushed her nicely away instead of weakly smiling at her.
She wanted him at all costs but finally got the hint.

And he went with MG because the FL had turned him down. Not a good reason.

They all have their problems and give them to us :-)

The way Mi Kyung manipulated San Soo from the beginning - clutching him stronger and stronger until he couldn't let go. She used every darn trick in the book from trying to buy his love, then even talking about marriage, while he, the weak and feeble one, just gave in by just going along for the ride.

I do remember that scene but was it in a preview? I'd like to find it.

FL's dad didn't like Seoul - too hard for his business - so they moved out of the city to the countryside and I'm sure she is there. Now it is his turn to go after her in an adult way with a strong purpose. No more tight lips, no more pauses, go for her ML!

I too hope for a happy ending - for both ML and FL. I have the feeling that he will follow her to where she moved to (probably with her parents) and try for a new real relationship. They both love each other but are not willing to take the next real adult step.

Toward the end of Ep 14, she asked him what he wanted in life and he could have said he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her. But he didn't. He missed so many chances and of course, so did she.

Hope for the best that makes them both happy in the end.

It was wonderful. But I guess each comment had to be looked at by Netflix and as such, it became too much of a burden. It was fun while it lasted.

I wish we could comment on Netflix as we used to be able to. They removed that section. Years ago, Netflix had a comment section where viewers could comment but I guess it was too much to control.
