Watching characters struggle, survive, and hold onto the sheer will to live reminded me just how deeply magnificent the human story is. It’s a masterclass in storytelling that lets you live multiple lives at once, taking you on an unforgettable emotional rollercoaster of hope, despair, courage, heartbreak, fear, grief, resilience, and profound joy.

Xingtang is such a heart-wrenching character, it's devastating to watch everything she went through. From losing her child to being betrayed and taken advantage of, her story is so sad.
Li Meng did a phenomenal job bringing this character to life in ATC, She was also incredible as Princess Wanning in The Double. She is seriously amazing at playing these complex roles.

He deserved every bit of that slap! Thank goodness I didn't see any spoilers beforehand because my jaw literally dropped. The absolute best part was seeing the first madam take her DIL's side over her own son's 😂😂. He truly brought that on himself!

One of my absolute favorite details in this drama is how they show the passage of time through the lady with the birthmark on her neck. It’s such a brilliant, creative touch! That kind of visual storytelling genuinely takes the cinematography to a whole new level.

This explains why their chemistry in TRTS is so effortless. Working together for the second time really shows in how well they click on screen.

I'm still catching up on eps, but can we talk about Lady Zuo? I can't stand her actions, but I feel so bad for her too. The actress is absolutely killing it.

She is doing a great job in 'The road to splendor'. Her acting is really good.

Haha, I might have to copy your strategy! Checking the spoilers first is the only safe way to watch dramas these days. Sudden depression in what was supposed to be a healing BL is a trap I wasn't prepared for.
I've already gone through enough torture watching 'The Untamed' and few other recent dramas.

This is such a big regret for me. I want to watch it so badly because it is quite rare to find such beautiful, soothing cinematography. However, I know I will regret it even more if I force myself to keep watching

I couldn't bring myself to resume the episodes after Sis Lan's death, so I took a break.
However, this recent spoiler is making me drop the series entirely. This was truly a great BL, but it has become too heartbreaking to continue. Watching the first few episodes, I thought it was so soothing for my soul, and I became deeply connected to it (maybe a little too much).
Now, it has changed into something that breaks my heart. Even though I really love this series, I just can't continue watching it.

Sis Lan! 😭😭 I didn't expect this. 😭😭 How could they do that to her? She is the most loving and understanding boss anyone could ever find. 😭😭 My baby lost his mom even before he could introduce his hubby to her.

Why is the rating so low here?
All of my friends who watched the first few episodes said it was good.
I know MDL ratings can't be trusted completely, but this rating still seems too low.
