Well, I watched it right after The Untamed and withdrawal was my reason too. If you're hoping to hear it helped me get over Untamed - Sorry to disappoint you but it didn't do that at all. It is a different drama on its own and with its own bromance and it can give you something new to think about and if you like it (cuz I think this is good too) you might even get new biases. But getting over Untamed has not happened to me till date so I can't help you there :)
Of course, that is definitely more important - Along with how cute LZ looked in that scene... Sigh.. I'm gonna go rewatch that scene now after all this talk!

It's a 50 ep drama and things do pick up at later stages. Since you're already at 15, it would be a waste to give up so early. Most of us here whether we ship it as BL or not, we absolutely loved it just as bromance as well. I didn't even know about the BL part during my first watch and liked it anyways. The drama really takes you on a roller coaster as you go along. I'd say to give a bit more time since you've already come so far.

I've also always thought that Wen Zhuliu's weird expressions at times which almost convinces us that he is doing these things only because he is forced, to have more of a story behind it.. but just his expressions are not enough to convince me as his actions speak louder. The scene you mentioned, was something, that particularly interested me as well. Almost as if he willingly gets drugged. Again, all of this is just circumstantial not concrete.
