You're right. Believe me, my efforts have not stopped. But my friends are still new or even unaware of the beauty of asian dramas in general. So the progress has been slow. After a long time, only now have I started finally seeing the signs of the Asian wave finally reaching them one by one. And I will introduce this masterpiece at the earliest chance I get. I hope the fruits are as sweet as you describe ;)

If there weren't so many fans with similar emotions, I'm sure I'd feel silly coming here just to express my love for this drama again and again. So thank you all!

I know what you mean. Well, I might have felt a bit similar to you. That's why it took me also much longer to get into the drama.. Like 30 eps or so. But do not take the other characters lightly. Everyone has something to tell and will amaze us in different ways.

Were you not present at the time? Roughly around the CQL 1yr anniversary, there was a lot of back forth with a user here who was comparing The Untamed and it's popularity and one of the things that person pointed out was the number of comments here that other dramas were slowly catching up to or already caught up to - don't remember details.
I don't know if that was what triggered things, but since then, ppl everywhere started to have an eye on the # of comments on the popular dramas - at least that's the extent of what I know..
