is it romantic? are there kiss scenes/intimate scenes?
Yeah. I'm honestly coming to love these slow burn love stories, which they seem to be making a lot of lately. I just finished watching The Double, and even though they literally don't kiss til the last episode and the ML is more like a secondary character I ship them so bad because their chemistry and interactios and relationshp is just 👌🏼❤️ And the Story of Kunning Palace is like that too, though there is more skinship in that one, but it doesn't start til like the last 5 to 10 Episodes. They do it so well that it works. And they are like some of my favorite couples now.

It's very romantic. But not in the typical way. It's more feeling than skinship. There's only a few kiss scenes. But somehow despite the lack of a lot of skinship it works. Usually I like a lot of skinship but I didn't mind there being not so much in this because their love is beautiful without it, and there is a lot of romantic scenes without it. It makes each touch seems more special somehow. I say it's definitely worth watching.
I watched this only cause the cast is hot. Lut is such a jerk and doesn't deserve Mook's love. Rut and Nampetch's…
The thing is. He could easily pick one of them, but was in serious denial about his feelings. In both stories he just used ''SFL'' to hurt FL like the dilusional bastard he was.
If i remember correctly, he doesn't actually go through with it fully. But enough to want to slap him for her. What made me truly mad at him was when he brings the mistress to her fathers? Funeral (I don't remember which family member dies)
Ban Hua from A Girl Like Me (2021) is definition of strong female lead in historical, costume dramas. I like OP…
That's actually just the storyline. It was originally a novel, then a Chinese drama, and then Korea made a version. So maybe pick a bone with the OG creators logic 🤷🏼♀️ Also, I personally didn't find Hae Su very much of a strong independent woman.
I am surprised that people think a strong FL means she doesn't need a man to help her or save her. Everyone needs…
Amen to that. Though here I don't think that was the intention. At least in my view most of these FLs had a man or someone/or someones backing them. The Story of Kunning Palace, as great as she was she couldn't have done it alone, same with the double, and with Love like the Galaxy. But what these girls had was resilience, and wit through trials. And this does make them very strong. If I was in any of their positions I'd definitely have been headless within the first month haha
Everything is not what it appears to be. Like the other person who responded, I'll say he's actually not like…
I agree on both accounts. On Viki the ratings went down once it finished airing as well. I think because of the ending. I really liked it. It definitely is depressing. what made it even sadder to me was he chose her over his kingdom, because he loved her so much, but she couldn't live with it. And then him crying "I don't want you to die, I don't want you to die!" as she was dying. That killed me

I agree. I really liked this drama. For me I feel like sad endings depend on the story. This one I was expecting it. It just gives off sad ending vibes. But if like you're expecting and wanting a happy ending its even more depressing when it's not.
