He can do anything really... this year he really said no more soft guys. 😄
lol he did not literally say it, but both D.P. and Snowdrop are much edgier roles than his previous romance characters (not that I didn't love him to bits in those, too) :D
This is quite simple: they are not just planning for one political cycle and one election. Code 1 is the current…
7 years was the term for the last military dictator. After 1987, the second free election was held in 1992, the following one is in 1997. Moon Jae In is in office since 2017 and will be replaced this year.
In the drama's world, Code 1 is the president. He is shown in the presidential office of South Korea. He might not be running for the elections, but he remains the center of power.
And there is a Code 2, even though he is not directly involved in the story, so hardly mentioned. But during one argument with Eun Chang Soo, Nam Tae Il yelled that if they lose the election, "Code 1, Code 2, you, and me, we are all done" or something like that. Can't remember which episode exactly, because the two keep fighting, might have been the restaurant scene when the NK guy asked for 400M.
The two are planning for the long run. They even said that they can't let the deal with North Korea be completely ruined, because they want to use their help to rig future elections, too.
Where is distortion in showing two fictional characters fighting over a fictional presidential candidacy that they most likely won't even achieve in the drama's fictionalized world? It is not any more distortion than, say, the dozens of fictional US presidents in dozens of movies and TV shows.
I must have missed the troll or already blocked them prior to this.
Yeah it was an old one, the person who likes to spam this section with multiple long copy-pasted comments from other sites (but refuses to discuss them). Good job on blocking!
Thanks for making this list! Some more dramas to include: I haven't watched it yet, but jtbc got in a controversy for showing a lesbian kiss in Seonam Girls High School Investigators.
Be Melodramatic has an openly gay side character (brother of one of the leads) and they lightly touch on issues that he has to face because of it.
Yumi's Cells also has a gay side character, FL's first onscreen crush until he admits to her that his love interest is a male colleague.
Mine is a drama I dropped so don't know the ending, but one of the female leads was shown to be in love with a woman (despite being married to a man at the beginning of the drama).
And I think that both My Unfamiliar Family and She Would Never Know have marriages breaking up when the husband comes out as gay, but both are still on my PTL list so can't confirm.
One thing, I find extremely confusing.Nam Tae il and Eun Cho I thought were fighting to be the candidate for presidency…
This is quite simple: they are not just planning for one political cycle and one election.
Code 1 is the current leader (they never mention his name, show his face, or even say outright that he is the president - no doubt to avoid lawsuits about distortion). Code 2 is their current candidate. With only 10 days to the election, the party must have been promoting him for a long time already.
The two fictional characters of the drama are fighting to become the next in line, for the election in a couple of years.
Everyone, please do not engage with trolls. In the top right of every comment, there is a dropdown menu, just report her for spamming. On this day, her distortions and lies are especially offensive.
You can't take on people armed with guns if all you have is a scalpel. But I suspect he will use it to get rid…
Maybe he is a bit useless, he also couldn't catch his main target for how many years? 😂
Guess he will get to be efficient once he and Suho work out the collective plan of their higher-ups. He should get a pass until then, after all he is a man recuperating from a gunshot wound and several beatings.
The more I think about, Cheong-Ya seems soo off in EP7. Why have her care for the NK soliders (letting So Hoo…
She wants to keep her cover, so she had to treat Kangmoo, like any doctor would. And he knew about the gun from Hanna. But she made sure to have the NK comrade notice that there is something suspicious with the bag. No wonder she is a top spy, she is pretty good...
I think that we actually underestimate YoungRo a lot and overlook some things she does.Me too... Last night I…
I like that she is just an ordinary 20 years old, not a nonchalant hero laughing in the face of danger. Her behavior is quite realistic for a young woman who grew up coddled. But when push comes to shove, she never fails to step up and try to protect the people she cares about.
I'm all for bold, badass women, but they are not the only ones who deserve their stories to be told. There are many kinds of strength, and it's nice to see one of the less showy types.
Jung Hae-In, my man, has amazing eye-acting. And facial-muscle acting. I like how he's fully cognizant of his…
Very few actors can portray a character who is wearing an impassive facade but still showing every repressed emotions behind the mask, and keeping it all subtle and natural. 👏👏👏
They are paying North Korea in USD.400.000.000 USD.That's a lot of money today, even more in 1987.And the recipient…
Because he must have hand picked Suho's team for the mission. So if they fail and NK doesn't receive the full amount they expect, he will have to take responsibility for the loss.
The remaining 300M $ is due after the mission is successfully completed. Why would SK put it in a bag and give out the location to NK in advance?

And there is definitely not one objective opinion whether a drama is overrated or underrated.

SITR: Something In The Rain :)
Suho's sister is younger than him while dr Kang is a few years older. Also another actress played his sister in the flashback.
She knows Youngro is the ANSP director's daughter and a key piece in the situation. She must be trying to get close to her.
