I agree, Gong Yoo being the deceased husband doesn't make much sense. Bai Li would remember him in that case, but they acted like strangers. I though he was an employee in Wonderland that just grew attached to Bai Li. At one point he came out of Bai Li's simulation to talk to Hae Ri who was calling him and I don't think that would happen if he was deceased.

I think they tried to add the fourth sister as the dead child, which I think might be a comparison to Beth, since she is also the only one that dies in the original novel.
