I was wondering how ZYC is still alive after getting that many attacks from powerful ZY & LL in the past and today…
1. Looks like you never truly understood Zhuo Yi Chen's character. He’ll always try to act like he's fine, no matter how badly he's hurt especially when he's facing an enemy. Why would you expect to show his injuries when he’s in front of his enemy? He’ll keep up appearances as long as he can.
2. In the earlier episodes, sure, he may have acted like he was fine, but he definitely didn't look well. He had to sit down, and even after ZY healed him, he still looked miserable.
3. As for ZYC and LL, they never really had an intense one-on-one fight. Either someone else was helping, ZY would intervene to save him, or LL would just walk away because he didn’t want to waste his time fighting with ZYC.
4. With Aoyin, it’s a different story. She’s incredibly fast and unpredictable, making it difficult to go head-to-head, especially for someone fighting with a sword. She can shapeshift at any second, making him doubt whether he's fighting her or a friend, and since he doesn’t want to harm his allies, it makes him extra cautious. In that case, he absolutely needed their collaboration.
5. Even though I don’t agree with your last point, I respect your perspective. The reality is that while ZYC may owe ZY understanding, he doesn’t owe him his concern. ZY was the reason he lost his family, and even if he’s no longer blaming him, ZYC spent eight years resenting ZY.

Like, how do you miss that the plot is right there? I’ve seen some of those summaries too, and it made me wonder if we’re even watching the same drama. Maybe they’re fast-forwarding, like you mentioned.

1. I believe Zhuo Yi Chen is definitely not just a human. We’ll likely get more clarification in the upcoming episodes. In the past, he was using his sword as a shield, which probably helped protect him during those intense battles. As for the situation with LL, it wasn’t LL's martial arts that weakened him so much it was his previous injuries from ZY. If you recall, he used his own blood to attack ZY, which significantly drained his strength. By the time he faces LL, he's already in a weakened state, which explains why he struggles more.
2. I’m surprised you missed this, but ZYC, BJ, and YL were trying to catch Aoyin in order to clear WX's name, since she was framed for murder. They couldn’t afford to focus on ZY at that point because, because without WX, they had no way to deal with ZY when he wasn't in control. If they went to look for ZY they would just endanger themselves further when ZY wasn’t in control of himself. They had to clear the situation with WX first in order to save ZY from malicious energy.
That was definitely my favorite part of episode 23. The intensity of those fight scenes was incredible.
What do you mean, ZYC should've put up more of a resistance? He literally drained his blood and came close to death. He did everything he could without harming Bai Jiu, and I think you're overlooking the fact that he had to fight two powerful demons back-to-back. His main goal was to bring out Bai Jiu, not to hurt or kill LL/BJ, and that’s where his vulnerability lies something LL fully understood. At the end of the day, LL is a formidable demon. While he may not be as strong as ZYZ, he’s certainly not someone Zhuo Yi Chen could defeat without significant sacrifice.
Tian Jia Rui absolutely blew me away in Episode 23 what an incredible performance. For someone who's only in his second role, he brings so much depth and raw emotion to Zhuo Yi Chen. This episode really highlighted his talent, making it one of my favorite performances in the entire drama so far. Watching Zhuo Yi Chen get beaten so badly was heartbreaking, especially with LL breaking his sword too. Jia Rui’s portrayal made the scene feel so intense and real, and you could truly feel every ounce of his character’s pain and determination. It’s hard not to want to reach through the screen and give Zhuo Yi Chen the hug he so desperately needs. Tian Jia Rui deserves all the praise for making this character so relatable and emotionally complex. Can’t wait to see what he brings to future scenes and his upcoming dramas.
I find it disturbing. LOL. His acting is so good, I can tell something is not right immediately.
Tian Jia Rui's portrayal of the fake Zhuo Yi Chen is so convincing that you can immediately sense something isn’t right. His acting truly adds to the unsettling feeling, making it hard to trust the character even before everything unravels. But I also find the fake Zhuo Yi Chen captivating. There's something about his mannerisms that keeps me hooked despite knowing he’s not as he appears.
