Thats good tho. 60 eps is too much and the 20 episodes that was removed were the pedos extra storyline he requested. This was supposed to be a story abt fl, not him, he was just a side character and even the second lead had more screen time than him. Now they can finally give justice to the original novel, though I'm worried how they managed to fit all 4 books into one. Hopefully they just removed all the fillers.

lol I thought it was because of the fact that the person who got casted as the cousin was not visually the same as what u had in mine. They made liu chang better looking. I knew they were going for that route when I saw the cast. Novel fans liked liu chang so ofc they make him the second lead aswell instead of just an antagonist. Unless they change the scenes from the novel I don't find myself shipping her with him regardless of his looks. Only exception is xiang liu and xiang liu is way better than liu chang. They have completely different personalities. Only similarity is they both hurt the fl physically but there is a reason why xiang liu is better than liu chang.

No its not the ml, the fl gets divorced with the antagonist (liu chang) This is supposed to be a isekai kinda drama with transmigration, where the female lead enters a sickly womans body who is in love with her abusive husband and helps change her life, by divorcing her cruel husband and being independent. The antagonist/second lead only starts to like her when she changes but he doesn't change in personality, hes way more annoying after the divorce. But since transmigration is banned they will probably do what story of kunning palace did by giving her a second chance and removing the entering a different body thing. ML falls in love with FL at first sight while she was married to liu chang but only after her divorce does he approach her but their romance is very slowburn cos he doesn't appear much until towards the end, but that might change in the drama. If u watched love like the galaxy ml character setup is similar to the ml in that drama.
and no as far as I know they don't die in the novel unless they are referring to the transmigration and do a plot twist that ml also transmigrated then idk.

I watched it a long time ago; it was good enough back then as it was a big hit in China, but it's really draggy, though I don't regret watching it. I will admit I didn't end up watching the 2nd season and only watched it for the cast. I don't really remember much that happened, the 1st half was good, but then the story went downhill 2nd half. If u wanna watch it for Zhao Liying, then be prepared. She has very little screen time, and I'm sure the main CP doesn't even end up together coz he's supposed to end up with Yang Zi's character, but idk what happened in the drama since I didn't watch s2. If you're watching for romance, there isn't much. It's not worth rewatching for me, but I do watch some edits from time to time. ML is kinda that good boy turned bad kinda guy, which is why I stopped watching when he turned evil. It's like he's very weak at the start and becomes strong towards the end, but his personality changes along the way. It has pretty good action scenes though. And another thing is, this is supposed to have a season 3 so its incomplete
