She just broke up with her ex. Somehow meets this guy who shes apparently only talked on the phone with. Then he randomly asks to meet her and they go out with each other. They live together. He doesn't allow her to go anywhere and comes to pick her up early in the morning. They go out on dates. He asks to kiss her. She says no. After like their 4th or 3rd meeting/date. Then he hugs her and asks her abt her ex. Then he says he feels like shes using him and they keep seeing each other. I felt like i was reading a completely different novel with a different plot. I don't recommend anyone to read the novel. They can just read the last chapter if they wanna see xu kais character scenes since its likely they gonna change it in the drama and they might meet much earlier. It seems like they skipped the getting to know him on the phone scenes.

This character is 360 from his character in falling into ur smile. In the conference he mentioned his character is cold and arrogant and slowly changes. But it seems ive only seen the cold but flirty side of him in the novel. It felt like friends with benefits to me.

Im reading the novel and xu kais character is introduced after like 9 whole chapters. 💀 thank god they are gonna change it in the drama and cut off the unnecessary ex scenes. I was getting tired of skipping through.
So they meet in a pool while she was swimming and he is described as a mixed race. Xu kai does look kinda mixed race so the role suits him well.
