Did a bit of researching and found out ding ye is a new character made for the drama. he did not exist in the book. i'm mad they removed my girl zhang nianci and guo jing but then again understandable coz 8 friends would be too much.

Petition to change this horrendous name. Even the original novels name who do you like at seventeen? Was better.

Actually they play the role of from 15 years old to 30 year old. It goes from past to present kind of format. They might change the 15 year old to 17/18 from what I've heard on weibo though coz idk how they gonna portray a 15 year old lol but who knows?

He's not a main lead role probably that's why coz his character appears later only for a short while. He doesn't have much screen since he's out after they break up but does appear sometimes when they are older but not as much. And I just found out he is born in 1995. I thought he was much younger. and if u have read the novel quick question do u remember who ding ye was?

Zhuang yuan is supposed to be second lead. Have no idea where this ding ye came from.

Its kinda complicated. Ying zi likes zhuang yuan (the most handsome guy in school apparently who is also her childhood friend 😅) since she was like 15 but her best friend fang ming yu also likes him so she keeps it a secret but one day she told her friend that she likes him but then ming yu just laughs and they both like him together since they think that zhuang yuan likes yi fei (their other friend who is considered the school beauty) and they don't have a chance with him. Over this period fang ming yu also gets over her feelings for him and starts liking some other guy but ying zi still does. But then another guy pops up and starts courting her but she rejects him saying she likes zhuang yuan but he doesn't give up lol until he really does get her and thats when Jiang yi left her to go to america when they turned 17. I guess she also stopped having a crush on zhuan yuan at this point. Jiang yi also likes ying zi but he doesn't show it, instead he's just cold to her and starts getting angry and shouts at her all the time (big red flag) 😂 but when he realizes ying zi is getting courted by some guy he starts acting more cold. I think ying zi also likes jiang yi but she doesn't want to admit it since she her actions say so. Even the guy who courted her asked her many times whether she liked jiang yi. She was the most close to Jiang yi than her other guy friends to the extent they even sleep together in the same bed. In one of the chapters jiang yi was sleeping and ying zi was blowing his eyes and he suddenly started pulling her into the bed and covering her in the blanket by laying on top of her and I got shook. Coz it described that he was not wearing clothes and they were only 16 lmao. Forgot to mention that Zhuang yuan also likes ying zi but he never confesses untill later at the end.
