I agree I find I seem to enjoy what others don't and I prefer to keep it that way. If it doesn't click with me from the first 10 eps then there is no coming back to the drama unless i'm bored af. I don't rlly judge a drama based on the first ep or so unless its rlly that bad and I tend to avoid any xianxia with idol actors despite my love for xianxia. Even if I do end up watching it I never manage to finish it. I prefer good acting skills to aesthetics and storyline so them idol makeup in xianxia don't rlly appeal to me. I seem to enjoy this drama way better than the one ppl keep comparing it to so it rlly depends on preference at the end of the day.

Yes I agree i haven't even watched Alchemy of souls due to that. But I like lu li's personality. Luo ge is more cold and I've grown tired of the cliche cold main leads.

I see where ur coming from. I did also think the love plot was too fast paced but that could be due to cuts since it seems that many scenes have been cut due to censorships or other factors.

I understand ur point but technically she doesn't know that she is/was the sun goddess so u can't expect her to already be strong and fight and idk if it was mentioned but i think that her fate has been changed by the guy from the start which is the moon god so technically she was not meant to fight since she would have gone about her life if it hadn't been for the guy. She has the powers of the sun goddess/ a part of her spirit but she is her own person. Unlike the main lead who lost his memories she didn't. She was probably reborn but she's her own person in my opinion. Correct me if I'm wrong but that's what i can infer so far from my pov. They also mention the part where she is needed to save the world which is probably another reason for changing her fate. Its giving me a bit of ALP vibes where the fl has to sacrifice herself to save the world and the ml takes the sacrifice for her.

Most fl do start off childish and then mature as u go further on as the character experiences hardships. I think that its easier to see a character development that way and I pretty much am a fan of these type of fl's so I don't mind them but some ppl might not have that much patience.
