Yh it makes sense for him to get the girl since xuuanzhu had many wives in the novel and it doesn't feel right for her to wnd up with him. Plus yangzi herself said she wouldn't take a character who ends up with a ml with many wives. Xiang liu dies in the novel so the only option left was tu shan jing.
I hope they stick to the novel and let xiao yao end up with tu shan jing. I don't like it when they change the storyline just because one actor is more popular than the other.
No he can't be since hes the ml in the book in terms of getting the girl. He might not be the main lead plotwise but his character does get the girl so technically he's the male lead. I like to think of it that way anyways 😊 The actual ml however isn't rlly likeable since he uses the fl and also has many wives. By the time he realises he loves her it is too late. I prefer dengwei being tu shan jing than zhuanxu

Won't take that long tbh they probably would remove some of his unnessessary scenes. His character wasn't supposed to have much scenes anyways. Kris wu wanted his own plotline so they had to create a whole storyline for him so he stands out. The novel was about the female character and was told from her point of view so technically his character was just a support.
I got this info from weibo but in terms of main plot xhuanzu aka zhang wanyi is the male lead but he doesn't get the girl. Tu shan jing aka Deng wei is the male lead in terms of romance plot so he gets the girl. Xiangliu is the most pitiful. Don't wanna spoil anyone so won't mention him here coz i'm gonna cry. But even he doesn't completely deserve her due to what he did to her at tsome point.
I think that out of the 3 main male leads, Deng Wei will most likely have the least scenes (😔) but probably…
Yup he ends up with her in the book anyhow and i'm so down for it. It makes sense for me since xiangliu dies and zhuanxu doesn't rlly deserve her so it makes sense for jing to be endgame
