Don't have high expectations for it. They completely ruined it with the reshoot. The drama was already ruined coz they gave yz 2 different scripts (same thing they did to zls) and turned a fl centric novel into a ml centric drama. They still don't apologise to her but wanna release it now because of flourished peony? 5 yrs later? I can already picture the black drafts.

Although douban isn't the most reliable but no matter how popular an actor is or their fanbase is, a good drama will always get a good score on there despite the haters since passerbys have a greater influence on the ratings. An example is Immortal Samsara, despite YZ popularity (which some ppl keep saying is the reason for FP high rating) it still got 5.9 which was understandable since that plot was nothing we've never seen before and isn't rlly everyones taste, but that drama did get a lot of antis downrating it too back then. MDL is a smaller platform so less ppl have rated it on here while more than 130k have rated it on there. I'd rather not trust the ratings on here. It's been frozen for a while despite the number of raters increasing.

Another thing is, a drama might do better in China than internationally due to taste ig.
