I really can't imagine what would cause Shi De to do that to Shu Yi. If not something Shu Yi's dad did, what could it be? I don't think amnesia is a possibility because the longing in Shi De's eyes before the slap was very evident. The dad theory is plausible but then I'm also not 100% convinced.

I would agree. This is also the best BL series for me out of all the series I've watched. And I've watched a lot.

Find out why Shi De stayed away for 5 years. If you missed the last 1 min of the episode I suggest just don't watch it until season 2 starts.

Me while watching episode 6:
First 15 minutes: watching again and again. So scared of the second half because expecting angst. Just want go see them happy.
20 mins into the episode: Oh shit the dad is scary.
2nd half of the episode: Oh thank God! It's a happy ending. So happy.
Last 1 minute: WTH!!???? Proceeds to go crazy

And with how much Shi De loves Shu Yi, the only possible reason for him to stay away is if he thinks he's doing it for Shu Yi.

Something @AnniaD mentioned in an old post keeps popping in my head. About her theory that in seasom 2 it'll be Shu Yi fighting for Shi De, hence the title. With the trailers and season 2 hints were getting, it looks like they are gonna separate. I'm really rooting for @AnniaD's theory now.

I'm now excited and totally dreading episode 6. Urghhh! What will happen? Is it possibly Shu Yi not being able to keep a promise to Shi De again? Remember he didn't keep (though not any fault of his own) his childhood promise to be there for Shi De. I want to cry just thinking about them not being together for 5 years.
